Sure if that is what you get out of that statement. Let’s go with that.

What is this cryptic crap? You’ve successfully derailed the conversation about linear loot and how a casino mechanic messes with it to somehow talking about a virtual tip jar, black lives matter, and WW2.

Are you doing this just to mess with me or what?

Then you should be getting like 440 gear for doing it solo while a group gets 475 as far as I’m concerned. Visions are an abomination, they completely negate the gearing process. You should have steps, lfr gears you and prepares you for norm, norm for heroic and heroic for mythic. Before that it was dungeons and crafting then world quests etc. If you could get end game gear via solo content noone would group and there wouldn’t be a point to this game being multiplayer oriented.

Titanforging and corruptions as well, needs to be a clear line between difficulties and their rewards.

Where did I mention a virtual tip jar?

WW2 is old. WW3 is now.

You stating superiority over others as fact is what’s messing with me. I ask you to stop, but you haven’t stopped.

Point is there has been many battles involving the haves and have nots, where the haves have lorded over the have nots their precious belongings. This has lead to revolts and the like. They are drawing the connection of the haves To the have nots Showing how the behavior of the mythics and the way they treat the lower tier players and thoughts of what they “Deserve” is very simular.

One way should not be the only way. I’ll leave it at that.

Still no idea what “paying it forward” means in relation to titanforging, so I went with that.

Me stating a firm opinion on loot systems in a video game is “superiority over others?” Rewards in a video game are about equity of access not everyone gets equal stuff. If you do heroic you deserve better quality loot than normal, if you do mythic you deserve the best loot. Where in here am I saying I’m superior to anyone? This is so genuinely puzzling and it feels like you’re talking on such a high horse you don’t even realize what you’re saying has nothing to do with what half the people in this thread are talking about.

You remove all the difficulty but your self as a player by doing that, if I could solo content I would, I think most of the player base are incompetent and or sandbags just wanting to be carried. It’s been getting even worse since wod, all these participation rewards and overcatering systems like titanforging/corruptions and warforging, all these handouts for gear. You can literally get 5-10 pieces of gear a week barely doing anything, your weekly and visions along with invasions etc.

You carry, others carry later on. That’s what I meant.

Let me find the quote.

When you dictate that you deserve more then someone else. It creates a air of superiority. I know that is hard concept to really grasp because it’s something people have been taught sense birth. Some people just deserve more.

That has jack to do with TF/WF/Corruption

How do you tune a raid in an MMORPG to be based around one person? There’s a reason that group content is the end goal of this genre since its inception, and by end goal I DONT MEAN EVERYONE’S END GOAL. I mean the source of the most challenge and best rewards.

I mean it’s like as if you were flipping burgers at wendys expecting the paycheck of their CEO. Equality when it comes to being better than someone else at something really isn’t equal, some people are just going to be better at some things than others no matter how hard they try. You can beat a routine into someone like the military does, it gives them the impression of knowing what they’re doing but in reality they don’t.

Visions are the only way to good gear for people like me as it stands now in BFA.

I think there should be changes of scenery.

What does this have to do with game design?

How is it my opinion that semi-linear gear progression is coming back in shadowlands? It’s literally in the alpha RIGHT NOW. Titanforging is gone and so is corruption.

I’ve given corrupted pieces to people in need of them.

And I’ve given WF/TF pieces to people that needed them.

Ok actually you are right.

But let’s look at that. Does that CEO really deserve more? What would that CEO have if all the flippers decided to say… You know what. This isn’t enough and walked off? Where would the world be if every lower class citizen decided to say. Enough. Could our economy still function without the low end workers?

Keep in mind visions give gear just 5 ilvls below the most challenging raid content in the game, with random corruptions which may push a lower quality piece higher dps over a 475 because of a pair of dice. Does that really seem right to you?

Multiple sources of gear should 110% be a thing. But something like visions should provide mythic raid quality gear? No they should not.

That still has absolutely nothing to do with TF/WF/Corruption being bad systems for the game. Giving gear to someone thats corrupted isnt any different than giving a standard piece of gear to someone. Both are entirely irrelevant to the topic of these systems being bad for the game.

This still has nothing to do with game design.
