World of Warcraft Pays Homage to Diablo with the Greedy Emissary Event

I appreciate your dedication to this bit, even if I don’t appreciate the bit itself.

Wonder what exactly the Treasure Goblins look like in the WoW universe?

If they really resemble the Diablo version than those of us with the “Treasure Goblin” pet from the Diablo III Collector’s Edition could cause a little bit of mischief.

Not trying to give anyone ideas or anything… :crossed_fingers:

yo dawg i herd u like cash grabs so…

Since when does blizzard use Server time as a reference? That was odd.
When : May 25 at (10:00 a.m., Server Time) through June 14

There’s a picture in the blog

“Greedy” lol.

yay more free stuff! thanks blizz!!

Why …more power to the players to get one if they don’t have it…doesn’t brother me one bit I got mine way back when in Cata…haven’t used it …sort of a silly looking short legged horse that doesn’t look right.

unfortunately this mount has always looked like crap to me

if they had made the wisp tendrils move like tyrael’s in diablo that would have been awesome

To be fair, they’ve said before that these store items they pull may return in another fashion. People who paid for it got to enjoy it for six months before those who will get it in this event.

But… I had it from the original promotion, so I can’t really put myself in your shoes, though. So I’m not saying you can’t be a little salty. Just trying to give a little consolation.

Nah. I’ve had that thing for years and never use it. Couldn’t care less if others got it.

The wings do be looking a bit like ethereal pieces of lettuce.

I’m aware of all that, but the point on this one is that it wasn’t available at all for 10 years or so, and was never available to buy outright, and then they suddenly put it in the shop to purchase for a limited time. And then turn around and give it out in game for free with this event.

That reads as a last minute money grab which is just shady and not respectable.

Oh, it’s not a bit. I’m still mad as hell over what they did. And I will keep on showing it lol.

Christmas marketing. I don’t see that as shady. I see it as marketing. Do people forget this is a corporation?

I hope it would be like the grand hunt event. That way, players would have time to get there.

The worst part about the wings is that when you fly, they don’t really move as if they’re propelling the mount. They just do the same animation that they do when you’re on the ground, which looks unnatural overall.

I realize that “unnatural” in this case is odd considering this is a fantasy world, but the drakes’ wings, for example, beat as if they’re actually propelling you through the air, and have different rhythms depending on ascending, descending or coasting. The wings on the Charger may as well not move at all because they just do the same thing over and over and over.

Another place where T. Charger shouldn’t be.

Everyone should be able to get a mount, but don’t attach it to other products as a bonus for more money only to later make it available.

It’s such a stupid mount, lmao. I deliberately didn’t buy it and will deliberately avoid it even for free. My account will not be stained with such a stupid looking mount.

Why not? :dracthyr_love_animated:

They could have brought back (or added) literally any other mount for a limited time sale, but they chose to offer the Charger. And if you think they didn’t already have this current event planned, I’ve got some beautiful swamp land in Florida to sell you. Shady, Blizzard, very shady.

Do people forget that even corporations should be held to a certain standard of respectability? No? Just me then, I guess.
