World of Warcraft doesn't respect your time

Don’t demote keys = more unprepared people with high keys.
Penalty system = less groups.

I’m here lurking but I’m playing the new league 2v2 mode

I didn’t say anything about a queue system being added to M+, I even clarified here:

I was using the queue systems and the group finder as examples to WoW’s design philosophy has always revolved around making it easier/quicker for people to find groups to do group content with.

This is you talking about a queue system with high failure rates being good for the game.

Yes, and then you included FFXIV as a reason it works. And that FFXIV has a similar failure rate as WoW.

But if the system was included in WoW going forward, the WoW failure rate would climb.

That being said, OP’s suggestions would push the “good” people away from participating in m+. Also increasing the failure rate.

He’s a DPS and they’re a dime a dozen because they don’t want the responsibility of healing or tanking.

Btw this isn’t and shouldn’t be an argument. I’ve played healer and tank at 20+ keys every season and end boss mythic content (CE). If 95% of players want to play DPS then maybe the other roles aren’t rewarding or fun enough and need to be reworked.

I’ve played all 3 roles and DPS is the most fun and why people gravitate towards it.

And we shouldn’t have to explain the reality of pugging in WoW to someone who has allegedly been playing for over 13 years. Because even as far back as the early days of the group finder option in Wrath it was clear that there are far more DPS then healers or tanks thus it’s in your interest to use the social options in the multi-player game or get patient with a 20-30 minute wait time.

Like, the modern equivelant would be someone complaining about how long it takes to make dinner when they chose to live off the grid and need to actually butcher their own meat, boil water, forage for berries/roots/mushrooms.

That doesn’t make any sense because people still need to do content to get the high keys in the first place, and if they really can’t handle a key at the level they’re trying, they would just demote the keys themselves at an NPC.

There has never been a case where a penalty system for leavers/AFKers/abusers/etc has ever resulted in people doing group content less, in fact it’s always usually the complete opposite.

I have a girl friend that lives in Canada.

She goes to another school. You wouldnt know her.

except you need less tanks and healers for a reason, so they should be less desirable.

You think people being FORCED to stay in a group with bad players, will increase m+ participation?

look, if I buy a carry with through a +20, I will find people to carry me through a +20 for free now that I have a key, even if it takes a week.

Clearly they aren’t desirable enough if they’re the limiting factor in how long it takes to get into keys (or solo shuffle) and you get instantly invited if you play them.

What about this?

I don’t get instantly invited, and I heal.

Yes. That is a system to FORCE people to stay in groups with bad players.

That will absolutely make me avoid pugging.

I dont want to stay in a key that wont be timed when no one needs loot.

Okay, people literally already buy carries in keys all the time and then have a +20 key to try to find people to carry them through. This already happens.

Sounds like the solution is simple for you then: find a guild/community to run with, like you said :dracthyr_shrug:

but if the first group fails, they no longer have a 20 for the week.

Yes. Which leads me back to my point.

This will make pugging worse for everyone. The “good” players will avoid it. Now you have more lower skilled people failing more often.

You have a smaller pool of people participating.

What is the positive?

This is the right solution. Punish enough players who cause this offense and they will learn.
