World of WarCraft: Ashes of Galakros

Why would Blizzard copy ArenaNet’s terminology they’ve used for 9 years?

They should’ve added him TBH. Squeenix added Cloud Strife and since Geno is owned by Squeenix, maybe they should’ve. He’d be a fun little call back to people.

Hell, do a remake of Super Mario RPG but with updated graphics.

I would love that but Nintendo doesn’t like bringing in old mario games unless it’s with a yearly subscription with nothing updated.

Don’t ask me. It’s in the game data.

I think the biggest “not gonna happen” indicator is when “leaks” like this mention tinker getting a mech suit. They are not going to give that as a class’/spec’s flavor if any other class can also jump into one of the many mech suit mounts in the game. Been there, done that.

I think they spelled bards wrong. And clearly there will be a 100,000 years time skip so that all these loose thread narratives can just disappear into myth

Like the sword of sargeras will now be the rusty hill of Sares. The world has been flooded. New terrain is allowed to flourish. Ungoro is filled in. Etc.

Sounds too well thought out to be real.

Someone said this before on the forums, but in order for Blizzard to add a new class they would need to revamped Legion class halls to accommodate this new class, if they go after azerite (why though?) then they need to add new azerite traits for the new class. Don’t forget Shadowlands will likely be the 10-50 content and they’ll need to add new class powers. Otherwise a tinker will not be able to play like the other classes can in those expansions.

Orrr, theyd just push them into an existing class hall and say DEAL WITH IT!

I don’t know it could be but it could be fake. Won’t know until we even see a hint of News from Blizzard themselves atleast be it a Online News from them or if we’ll ever see Blizzconline return which I doubt.

So far It could be fake.

Dragons having an elemental aspect is pretty standard in fantasy. Even in warcraft blue dragons breathed cold, bronze breathe lightning. Green has been a sort of green energy that is life or whatever, or poison. Black and red both breathing fire are actually the oddballs that way. Add to that with the “dragon aspects” predating GW2, you could argue GW2 copied WoW.

I honestly think bards won’t ever be a class. Dont attack me but it just seems weird fitting it in a dragon or light/void themed expansion.

I could see it as a secondary profession which could be very fun.

Thats what I said after seeing what we got in BfA and Legion. I cant see new classes going through either expansions timeline in chromie time which is why that system is great. They could make it not available for new classes since the others don’t really bother with class sets and stuff. I know shadowlands has the covenant and that’s another question to bring up.

I think new classes won’t be available for those three timelines and it’ll be better if they go through the older timelines and the future ones as well.

That’s why we call him Big Mike, baby! No Tinkers Allowed >:(

I want tinker because the warhammer online dwarven engineer if my favorite MMO class of all time. Give me a turret (functions like a totem) and Grenades please.

That’s like saying classes that use one handed hammers are dumb because we already have blacksmiths.

World of Warcraft: Ashes of Creation

We want that Unreal Engine 5!

You speak Dwarven, Common, and The Truth!

I don’t wanna rain on anyone’s parade, but Tinker seems kind of unlikely to me, it’d make Engineering redundant… We’ll probably sooner see a Dance Studio, than Tinkers. Or Alchemists (like the Goblin Alchemist).

False leaks are nothing but a good thing for Blizzard at the moment. It has people speculating and discussing things that don’t include staff conditions, harassment, takeovers, content droughts, story, or any of the other issues that SL has. Blizzard gets to put in minimum effort while generating significant discussion about the game that is in a positive light. They’ll hold off any announcements until probably 9.2.5.

I’d love it if it involved Galakrond. I don’t care for dragon isles, but a dungeon/raid centred around trying to stop the baddies from resurrecting Galakrond could be decent. They explored it a little in WotLK but it was a tiny quest chain and easily missed.

I honestly don’t remember Tinkers at all. I do remember trolls throwing spears/axes, and that banshee’s were a playable unit though. Should they become playable specs too? Seriously though, given the “popularity” of mechagnomes and goblins, Tinket is going to fall way short of expectations. Make a new class that fits the expansion thematically.

I’m not convinced we’ll see a new class. What we could however see, assuming Blizzard stops trying to introduce 400 new power systems for each class, would be some new specs for existing classes. Tinker could easily be a Hunter spec. Bard could easily be a Rogue spec. Gladiator, Blood Mage, Necromancer, Earthwarder, Wardens - easily able to fit into existing specs. Not only do they already exist within WoW in some form, but it would mean not having to shoehorn them in as a “they were hiding on this island we never knew existed”.

I agree.
I like reading them. Some of it is pretty funny.

The Tinker. It was also reimagined in Heroes of the Storm;

Also it’s rather silly to judge a future class’ popularity on the racial popularity of the races it might use. That’s just silly. If the class is fun to play as, people will play it regardless of the class, and more than likely, the class will make up the majority of people playing that race. See Pandaren and Monks for a prime example of that phenomenon.
