World of Warcraft ®: Dragonflight HUD and UI Revamp

You can resize chat boxes it’s just a little awkward. You have to open edit mode and then on the bottom right corner of the chat box there’s a resize “button”

That said, they should modernize the chat box at get rid of the buttons on the left of the chat box or incorporate them into the chat box so they’re not taking up extra screen real-estate.

Also It’s odd that I cannot resize the minimap unless I resize the WHOLE UI.

Yeah the minimap size I already hated it when I got into beta. I only hope that the ui upgrade allows for addons to better hook into individual parts to allow customization with less resources used.

I’m on the beta yes you can save different ui loadouts for whatever you want. Different specs, or a pvp setup, anything you want.

So what do I do with the giant box (Bar 1) that my main spells are in? It takes up so much space and I can’t add any spells to it. It only has room for 6 spells and those take up a very small amount of space. I can’t get rid of Bar 1 or make it shorter. I like most of the new layout, it’s just that one bar that I would like to smash. lol

This is so irritating. I really didn’t want to have to spend my game time with the first thing I have to do being to fight with your “improved UI” to try to return it to the state I have used for literally years. I had it set the way it worked for me, and now you make my UI a tossed salad of elements I have to hammer back into shape.

Cannot move the menu or the bags. I need to make it bigger because I cannot see them, they are all white buttons, it’s terrible for people with poor vision.
Also the multi seats mount (like the Yak or Brutosaur) can’t be move and is stuck behind the objectives panel, I cannot eject the vendors.

I really like the new ui.

It’s a big change, and a few areas could use a little more love, but overall a great change!

This piece of crap “new UI” needs an option to revert to old UI. I just logged in and spent an hour fighting with the damn thing, and it’s still not right.

So far I’ve found this new UI to be mostly user friendly :man_shrugging: surprised by the very loud uproar, lol.

How do you move the XP and rep bar, or make the now smaller icons under the bags bigger to see, or make the minimap buttons bigger to see?

Also not allowed to resize or hide anything about the UI anymore, either, so we’re being forced to use these monstrously ugly action bars assaulting our screens and hogging precious real estate.

Bye bye, ElvUI for grownups. Hello Elmo UI for infants.

At this point in time, until and unless they restore all of the option the original Blizzard team gave us, then it’s not looking like a game I wish to financially support anymore.

To me personally, it’s starting to look and feel a lot like a cartoon version of windows 10.

You can’t. It’s just one of the many options they’ve removed from paying customers.

wont let me f save and have to logout each f time

The new UI is terrible I honestly feel like quitting the game because I don’t have an option to use the classic UI and I cannot find an addon to make it the old one.

Same here, couldn’t agree more

for us old guys that have been playing since the beginning you keep trying to push us out with each xpac which you just succeeded in making me quit, tired of relearning how to play each time you change everything. Half my toons have a huge UI that wont save and the other have a normal size that stays and theres no explanations on how to change that?

I think on beta u could have no gaps (0 Padding) on your action bars, but pre-patch the minimum is 2 so there are pretty big gaps is this just a bug?

Also before this HUD and UI update there was an option in keybinds to “remove the bind.” Looks like it is gone and you have to replace the bind now, you cant just remove it. Am I just not seeing the option or was it removed?

I could not find anything indicating I could separate the Guild Box from the UI for sizing purposes. Why has this been ignored?

Can we get an option to rescale down the size of unwanted features such as the talking heads or perhaps just straight up disable those annoying things?

Perhaps a list of UI element ID#s for creating and positioning these outside of the game via text documents. (This is already possible via the exported UI feature though pinpointing the specific UI elements is abit of a pain in the butt right as you essentially have to go through trial and error)

I totally agree with Darquelight, they are taking the thinking factor out of the game and making it so any idiot can play and are forcing you to use their F’ed up UI BS! I had my UI setup perfect on 30 toons, now I have to start all over again. I logged in and tried to open the bank and the pane is just not there anymore. So I’ll be troubleshooting instead of playing, Thanks Blizz… At least give us the option to shut off your shi**y UI and use something that actually works instead of a cookie cutter one size fits all… Blizz could care less about the ppl who actually helped build this Empire.
