That the point but some people keep saying it’s to early to worry about things to be fix .
I am a returning player who took time off and decided to come back and try the game out again. I’m not much of a raider, and I haven’t PVP’d or ran a dungeon in what feels like forever. I’m more about the story progression and questing. It’s what I love most about the game. With that said, I’m extremely excited for this expansion. It definitely has a lot of potential.
The new UI is something I’m looking forward to. As someone who likes a clean look and uses ELVUI, the UI update looks right up my alley. This is a major plus and much needed.
The new talent tree is definitely something I want to play around with. Currently, we are pretty limited on what we can do with each class. The positive side of changing this up is that not everyone has the same play style. IcyVeins is great for helping guide what talents to choose from, but I find that what works best for most players doesn’t really work best for me. I’m hoping the developers have thought about players like me who aren’t into raiding and pvping because it feels like most talent set ups are for those aspects and leveling. What about after leveling?
I’m not one to take on a new class, but I might try the dragon out for fun. I wasn’t very keen on the Demon Hunters, so it would take a lot for me to try out the Drakthyr race.
Lots of people are focusing on the fact there’s no “home” base. With the garrisons, the class halls, and now the covenants, I feel like there are too many “home” bases as it is that are just left behind once the expansion has been experienced, ran through, and becomes obsolete for the character. It would be nice to have a home base that you can return to and grow in every expansion… one that might lead you to your Garrison, Class hall, etc. through portals. Maybe one that has a special hall to show off all your achievements, has tables set up so you can access the people you send off on missions.
I like how the New Dalaran was given it’s own hearth stone, as the Garrison was, too. Instead of creating a multitude of hearth stones for each of these things, why not do something like one hearth stone that acts like a mage’s portal system but only for 1. Class Hall, 2. An inn of your choosing, 3. Garrison, 4. New Dalaran, and 5. Covenant, etc. Don’t make it so you can hearth everywhere and ruin the mages spell for portals, but make it easier for us to portal to these bajillion “home” bases.
The other thing I would love to see is, if you collect something like the easter dress or a legendary weapon, it goes into a special place kind of like heirlooms. I have so much crap in my bank, even with the help of adding in an area for mats. This way, you can access it whenever you need it. If it’s something you want to be character bound, then do it like the Paladin or DK Mount.
Also, is there a way to make it so you can equip your fishing gear without having to lug it around? Did I see they were improving professions like that? I don’t want to have to carry around even more gear to swap in and out of unless we can just click a button and it automatically appears on you because you chose that profession. Or maybe it could be geared on you somehow where it’s not taking up so much space. OR… maybe we can have quest items go into their own dedicated bag like mats do.
Well, I’m getting far off from the subject of the new expansion, but these are the things I would love to see happen to the game in the new expansion.
One request… dream I have. If we are going back to classic like talents please change survival hunters back to ranged.
Marks with their big crits… Aimed, Steady, Binding, and Scatter Shots.
If you need a melee hunter, have Beast fighting alongside their pets with bleeds and slows… Kill Command, Frenzy, and wingclip.
Survival with poisons, traps, and munitions… serpent sting, dark arrow, and frost trap.
Looks great. Only concern is the line about: “The new talent system empowers players to make creative and flavorful talent choices without compromising their effectiveness—and most importantly, it gives them meaningful options at every level.”
Blizzard has yet to be able to do this and I am a bit skeptical that this time will be any different. I hope this expansion is not a pain for alts as well.
I really hope to see other classes talent trees. It’s also a wish of mine to be able to play survival hunter again as it was in legion.
I can see there is a lot of whining about this expansion already but I for one am excited to see such changes take place.
Keep up the awesome work!
I can see your concern and can vouch for it as well, I don’t want it to be easier, I want to learn and grow and not have cookie cutter specs.
It’s alpha stage, there’s a lot more to go
Dude Blizzard, you’re giving us body options with these dragons??
Why wouldn’t you announce that in your deep dive, that is HUGE.
"Tina Wang: You are all going to be in Dracthyr form when you are in combat. Yes. But let me talk about the Dracthyr and their customizations. There is more customization than what you saw in the video. there’s actually so many ways that you can customize that Dracthyr. Even the shape of the face. You can have, like these snouts that can look more ancient, or more sleek, or like a more blunt.
You can even slightly change your torso to be like slightly more slender or slightly bulkier; and the armor that you wear is a type of armor that you will be able to customize at the Barbershop, too. So Dracthyr, I think they’ll also be able to wear shoulders, tabards, belts across their visage and Dracthyr form. While the visage form is able to wear all-armor."
I think a lot of this looks interesting. I like the idea behind the new race, I like the new zones, and the dragons coming back into power.
Few issues and questions:
-
Will players have the OPTION to keep the old UI? I’ve had it for so long, and I really don’t like the look of modern minimalist frames. The old UI has the charm of old school Warcraft 2 and Warcraft 3. Would LOVE the option to leave it be. If we don’t have the option, will we still have the two right side vertical action bars?
-
Those Drakthyr models alpha models, right? They look stiff and rough, and Final Fantasy mixed with Skyrim. Not great, not really Warcraft’s style. They look like you took a Worgen and stretched it out, tossed scales on it, and gave it a beak. The humanoid models look pretty cringe. Like I said, Final Fantasy characters, gross.
-
Will the Drakthyr humanoid form be able to be any race? As the dragons can be? I’m only seeing Human Females, and Blood elf / High elf Females.

I’m worried that the new talent trees are going to create skill gaps. The current system makes your class good/good enough regardless of the options you pick. They’re all pretty equal. Big talents trees, if I remember from my gameplay in Vanilla-the new tree, the talent spending can really make or break your character. Tons of theory crafting went into being the right spec for the right job. Will we have that, or more well rounded talents like we have now?
Yep. You get me. I just hope they learned from past failures. Not sure if it’s possible to have that kind of balance though.
I feel like it could add a lot of needed nuance to our playstyles. Right now, it’s so cookie cutter - and then you are told by Icy Veins to make even less choice because a specific build gives you 1% more healing or damage. I like the idea of taking control over my character more and getting a more nuanced experience!!
This feels like Warcraft “2.0” to me! I’m loving the idea of the new modernized UI that allows more flexibility! With the Dragon lore, I’m hoping we’ll see gear or transmogs for the Evoker that look like Ysera or Alexstrasza. Is this a possibility?? I sure hope so!!

then don’t buy it and play other games instead of wasting your time trolling the forums of a game you clearly don’t like anymore.
They’re based on the Worgen frame.
I think they look amazing and can’t wait to play one!
Personally looking forward to this!
I mean what will Icyveins do if they can’t produce cookie cutter specs for people!?
and yet that beast can’t ‘tank’ … but something smaller can.?
k…
wtf? tank spec please thanks.
wow personally I think they’re fine little twinky lizzard men. I’m planning on roleplaying my twinkborn as a sassy queen who will yell YAAAAAAAAAAS when he pops his CDs and you better not ruin this for me.
I can say that I’m pretty excited to see what will come of the new expac. Definitely looking forward to the new race, and while the model could use some touching up, I think they’re going in the right direction at the very least. I would however, like the Drac’thyr to be able to be more than just Evoker. I get what you’re aiming for, but I think it’ll hurt more in the long run. Evoker itself seems super neat! I like that you’re incorporating flight/glide in with the combat style, wonder how that’ll be for PvP tho. Talent Trees and Professions definitely needed a once over, thank you for that, but I’m hoping that there might be a liiitle something for the gathering professions as well? Maybe something like having a work order for the mats so someone can craft similar to how you can make a work order for the item instead? If that’s being already implemented, awesome! I do think the Drac’thyr should be able to tank in some way, because they’re… well they’re dragons. Dragons are, by nature/fantasy, tanky. This issue would be solved by letting them play other classes though. I can see where it might get weird seeing as they can only wear certain armor in their dragon form, but I guess we’ll just have to see. Would love the ability to have more than just humans as a secondary race. With Worgens, it’s more understandable, but a little more flexibility with that would be awesome, and would give people that little bit of extra customization they’re craving, but I do want to make known that I am happy to see the amount that’s already gone into it. Back to talents, I do like the idea of a tree, but try to make it a little less… webby, if you get what I’m saying. Making it more clear cut might make it a lot easier for players to interact with and understand. I’ve also seen a lot of talk about player housing and guild halls, etc. While I’ve never been huge on the concept, I think Guild Halls at the very least would be a cool cosmetic addition if given the time. If you can manage the time for player housing, then yay! It would be awesome to hearth to my house somewhere and plant stuff and go into my little library for inscription or my workshop for engineering! Or for more RP style stuff, the backyard with a goblin/gnome style barbecue or something. Buying/crafting furniture would be really cool also if given the time. But I digress, back to the expac. I love the world, it looks very bright instead of ungodly grim. That was a welcome change in Shadowlands upon visiting Bastion and Ardenweald. And Dragon Riding is cool, but I would hate to see the other mounts that are pre-existing be put to the way-side in this. If they could be incorporated somehow…? As for Class Rebalancing, I can’t really speak too much on it since I’m not a PvPer, but will be awaiting to see what you guys decide to do this upcoming expac.
All in all, really looking forward to some much needed changes and additions, and excited to be a part of attempting to shape in how it’s going to turn out. Hopefully there’s more that has not been announced yet, but I am content with how much I know for now. Regular Updates when possible would be a big + ! People like clarity
