I get locking this new class to the new race, but why can’t the new race be any other class? That’s kinda lame.
Wow…this is bad…I mean SWG NGE bad.
How do you screw up dragons? Why did the devs keep reassuring us on how cool this was?
It wasn’t It was a Dumpster fire.
I am SO very excited about ALL of this!!
I’ve wanted a Dragon Isles expansion since I started playing WoW so I’m freaking out with excitement. I do hope an homage to the big nautilus shaped monolith is somewhere in there.
A lot of people seem to hate the idea of Evoker being limited to Dracthyr- I think this is actually a very cool idea.
It’d be cool to see more race customization options for their visage though. Also, their name is dorky. Those are my only complaints about them. I think it’s cool as hell they can fly, I always really wanted that for DHs.
There’s also a ton of complaints about models and textures I see going around- it’s in Alpha right now. We can’t even test it yet. Things will be smoothed out.
Very excited for UI changes, skill trees, cross faction, profession changes, new zones, dragon flying, and the new race.
Literally everything sounds so exciting, it will be a breath of fresh air to be back in Azeroth again, in what- so far- looks like to be a love-letter to the old world again.
Going to be vibrating out of my seat until we get more information.
You know how sick i am of hearing this Don’t worry it alpha Don’t worry it beta . It like talking to a sick person Don’t worry you get better after you see doc. Don’t worry the hospital will work Don’t worry the priest is here to make you feel better at grave ok now you can worry.
While I love the idea of the Dragonflight model, please keep in mind users with vertigo and other visual issues caused by vehicle cameras.
Yeah, why would we want to play a race that’s been around since the original RTS.
I believe they already alluded to flight being dangerous…
Wait what’s this
FINALLY a normal bloody knight helmet after 18 years? All right, you win this one Blizz.
Very much looking forward to the new expansion! It’ll be nice to have a break from the ever-increasing threats Azeroth has faced in the prior expansions. That being said I do have some concerns with what foes we might face 'cause at this point we’ve conquered death. Sort of.
As a consumer I would definitely like to see the Drac’thyr model improved upon. I can appreciate a ‘clever’ reuse of models, but we’ve seen the same elf models used in countless instances since their introduction in BC and the ‘dragon-form’ itself could definitely be improved upon.
Very excited at the prospect of a reworked Talent system. I’m hoping it will offer unique playstyles for people to explore and tweak with. It’s my hope that the new tree offers both the simplicity of our current model and the variety of Van-WotLK model.
I’ll not comment too much on the dragon riding bit. I think it could be interesting, but it’s not something I’m overly hyped for.
Have some concerns over faction play. I get why it’s happening, and I can see where it can be useful, but wonder how it fits into a game that has, since its creation, been based on a Faction vs Faction model. I guess with both factions having their leaders kidnapped, that hostilities have been pushed aside, but…
I suppose we’ll see what happens. It might not need an explanation.
Also, please. For the love of all that is holy. Take your time on this. It doesn’t need to come out in a year. Or even two. The success from the first three expansions was because those devs took the time to polish and improve the game. World building takes time not only for a design aspect, but the system aspect as well.
If you, the devs, put time into the game, us , the players, will put time into the game.
There are two classes or can’t you count?
It’s only an issue if they don’t do what’s needed to improve.
Take the average covid denier. They walk around like its not a problem, the doctors give them a solution, they ignore it, get sick, talk to the doctor, doctor tells them what they can do, and the denier asks for ivermectin instead.
It’s only a problem if you don’t take the steps to prevent the disaster. (or in some cases, prevent the worst of it.)
There is, in fact, only one new race and one new class. They are saying they don’t like that they can only be an Evoker as a Drac’thyr. And that the Drac’thyr can only be Evokers.
While I agree with you on a number of things, I disagree with them never doing anything horrible since launch. You can point out any number of flaws from any of the expansions, just depends on what you’re looking at. Warlords and Pandaria weren’t all that spectacular, and BfA was a nightmare. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed all three of them, but they each had some notable flaws which could and did effect enjoyment of the game for a great many people.
No time gating for anything. Scaled gear for PVP encounters. Let us play what we want, do what we want, and get rewards. FULLY FAIR PVP.
Excited for new content, new zones, new story.
I think you need a blue post to clear up this Dragonriding thing. Lots of folks think that we’re getting flying at launch…they’re going to feel like a bait-and-switch.
“move through the air”
“unlike what players know of flying, you’ll instead hone your Dragonriding skills”
“learn to defy gravity”
This isn’t flying at launch. Just give people flying. Why is this so controversial?
They look like a horrible ripoff of the Argonian lizard race in Skyrim.
There are already fantastic bipedal dragonkin races in the game; why not use those as a base? And dragons traditionally have the ability to turn into lesser races (belf, nelf, humans, etc); why are players not afforded the same luxury?
Why do you have to mess up the game more.
You guys claim to be listening, so hear me now…
Stop with the passive aggressive approach to flight. Yes, training a dragon looks cool, but as a Druid, it’s not my preferred method of flight.
If you don’t allow the use of flight form, and every other drake I’ve collected over the years, I will not be pre ordering and will likely fly right on out the door.
Can you hear me now?
Don’t get this “mania” for player housing/guild halls, what a waste of dev time which is better spent actually fixing the classes and specs.
Really want to get my hands on the class/spec trees.
Praying they are done with “borrowed power” systems because they use these to mask core issues with how a class/spec plays and hence never fix class/spec. Limit it to tier set bonuses.
devs could you reconsider the m+ rotations?
would it be too much to ask for all 8 current dungeons + 4 from other expacs rotating from other expacs?
or is it 4 +4 to eliminate the grind?
Love that flying will now be interactive.
“As you grow in skill, you and your Drake will master new maneuvers. Fight against exhaustion and the pull of the earth, and soar above the Dragon Isles.” Yeah flight skills. Does this mean all flyers will now have an endurance bars? [a limitation that probably should have been on flight from the start]
