False. Experts know that specs should remain as is.
Every single private server has reduced respec costs. Iâve put more hours into WoW than just about anyone, the 50g respec sucks. Just like a 100g respec would suck. Just like a 200g respec would suck. Just like 1000g respecs would suck.
Not only is it trash design to begin with, but the price didnât change between Vanilla and TBC. So this idea that the 50g price was somehow specifically designed for some purpose, makes no sense when it was still the same price in 2008, when gold was far far far more abundant.
Furthermore, if you reduced respec costs to 10g, it would actually sink more gold because far more people would respec more often.
Principal designer of Diablo 2: Ressurected has a quote that I feel like encapsulates how I feel Blizzard probably feels about TBCC.
We want to bring some of those changes to Diablo 2 Resurrected, but we have to do it in a way that doesnât make it not Diablo 2. Weâre not trying to fix Diablo 2. Weâre not trying to make Diablo 2 a different game. We have other games if you want that - Rob Gallerani
Now, heâs referring to a different game, and not a part of the TBCC dev team, but I donât think itâs out of this world to think that this sort of mentality applies to all of their âclassicâ projects.
hmm⌠where is the universal approval that you boast about when the reply that doesnât want dual-spec has more than triple the likes compared to your original postâŚ
Now what is wrong with the title of this!?
Would dual-spec make TBC not TBC?
It would make it not TBC because it would ruin the whole game balance. It would destroy TBC.
But that is probably wasted breath since you retail kiddies seem to be immune to any sort of logic or reason.
Are you talking about Classic or Vanilla?
Because Vanilla canât be anything other than what it was at this point.
On the other hand, Classic TBC can be everything and more.
Can you please explain in detail how dual-spec would ruin the âwhole game balanceâ?
Prove it.
Oh, right. You have nothing except for presumptive assertions and never actually prove anything. Sorry, my mistake.
already stated multiple times. Scroll up and read.
It will destroy the whole game balance cause the prot warrior will respec and do 300 more dps in a 25 man raid.
or something.
He has nothing, dude. Heâs been asked to prove this in multiple threads and doesnât do anything except repeat his previous assertions.
Being able to switch between specs doesnât change the game balance. Lady Vashj and KaelâThas will be exactly as difficult as they are right now. Leveling difficulty will be unaffacted. Arena difficulty will be unaffected.
Where is this balance that is going to be disrupted? Give me even one example.
I used the same line of questioning.
Dual Spec does nothing to the current state of how the talents currently function. You neither gain nor lose anything given by the current set of talents. All Dual Spec allows is for you to switch between two sets.
There is no affect this has on balance. At all. Period.
YES PLEASE DUEL SPEC !! I have to respec every week to play both sruvival and beastmastery and then again if i want to pvp, its redic and costing me way too much!
Youâve had more than enough example, scroll up and read. if you cannot read, use text-to-speech.
Thereâs nothing to scroll up through and see except his continually referring back to previous presumptive assertions based on nothing.
And everyone has more gold now. 50g is fairly trivial.
The claim is that it will unbalance the game because dual-spec will allow people to switch specs between bosses.
The problem with that argument is that it is already possible. Progression guilds often switch out specs/characters between bosses. I remember the world first Naxx clear they rotated in a bunch of healers just for Sapphiron.
If your guild canât kill a boss unless they swap out a tank for dps, then youâll swap out a tank for dps. This idea that dual-spec will make the game easy is delusional. Lady Vashj and Kaelâthas will be exactly as hard whether dual-spec exists or not.
I believe a feature that works like dual spec being added to any expansion where it never existed would indeed do so.
