This seems nonsensical to me. I mean, it could be that whatever the scenario you are describing here is visualized differently in your mind than how you’ve described it, and it just comes across as, well… nonsensical.
But yes, if there is an argument, and rather than attacking the argument, you attack the character of the person, group, whatever, making that argument, it’s ad hominem.
For example, a young child makes a statement, “You should focus on saving money while you are young.” And someone says in return, “You are only 5 years old, you don’t know what money is, nor how to save it.”
The response is not responding to the statement or argument.
You literally have evidence (and indeed enough proof) to show that what you’ve stated is ad hominem, yet you not only lack in having your own ability to understand things, you defer to reddit as an authority.
Good luck with decision making. Your strategy for doing so does seem to work for a lot of people.
