Witch Doctor Class

I agree with you. I don’t like Goblin Shamans. I don’t mind the Goblin race though.

In many shamanic traditions, in the world “serve” is used to denote a reference and a deep relationship. You should research Vodou, Palo Mayombe, and Santeria. This is what people mean by "serve"the elements.

The elementals possess greater power in the relationship than the shaman. An example of this is when Gul’dan approached the throne and fell to his knees, surrendering himself to whatever could end his suffering. However, the elementals sensed the darkness and rage within him and rejected him. Shamans must never use their power in a way that opposes the will of the elementals.

And none of that undermines my position.

Which is what I stated, and is different from “You must do what the elementals want”. There is a wide amount of latitude Shamans have in exercising their power and the elements are shown to be pretty accommodating.

I greatly enjoy classes with a more primal connection to the world.

None of what I said is meant to undermine. It is meant to clarify in spots you missed. You are just exceedingly hostile and angry.

Angry is not at all applicable, though I probably am more defensive than is probably warranted, so I apologize.

Thank you for the apology. It was certainly more defensive than necessary.

Neither Alliance or Horde is morally superior. Both have committed horrible atrocities both against enemies and their own citizens. This form is about a Witch Doctor class though. Not factions.

Lets keep it on track.

Loved the Witch Doctor concept so much. I made one. Hope you like it.

Hexxer
Role: DPS / Debuffer / Control

Resource: Voodoo Power (generated by casting Hex-related abilities or damaging enemies with hexed conditions)
Core Mechanics:
• Voodoo Power: A resource built up from casting hex-themed abilities. Each ability used generates Voodoo Power, which can be spent to enhance abilities or unleash devastating effects.

Hex Bond: An ability that links an enemy and the Witch Doctor. While linked, the enemy suffers the same damage he deals to the Witch Doctor. Can only be on one target at once.

Voodoo Curse: Debuff that weakens enemies over time, causing them to take more damage, reducing their healing, or impairing their movement speed. When triggered, it can spread to other nearby enemies.

Voodoo Fury: Release stored Voodoo Power to curse and damage a large area, dealing damage over time to enemies affected by Voodoo Bond or Voodoo Curse.

Shadra’s Venomous Hex
Channeling Shadra, the Loa of poisonous spiders, the Witch Doctor curses the target, filling them with venomous energy. Over time, the curse deals damage and poisons enemies in a wide area around the target. This also summons phantom spiders to attack and web enemies. The venom can be cleansed, but doing so releases a burst of poison damage to everyone nearby and reduces healing received.

Shrink needs to be added to the spell list. HexMaster Zalazane used that a lot.

Shrink Shrinks the target, reducing damage dealt by 10%.

Old gods it’s so refreshing to see people actually talking about the class rather than random folk say it’s not valid no matter what.

Love this thread.

I completely agree! It does not often happen.

Any lore themed spells that you think would be cool to have? Anything inspired by a Witch Doctor or a Loa?

Nothing at the moment I think would contribute spectacularly to whats currently being shown. I’ve been trying to think on something productive though. Right now I’m just loving seeing the general idea of a class come together.

If you have any ideas love to hear them. I also have been greatly enjoying this thread.
