Wishlist for 11.0.7

Since none of us got anything we asked for in our wishlist for 11.0.5, lets start a new list so we can once again be disappointed! (Also, my hobby is collecting ideas, so I like seeing what you all come up with.)

This is my Holy Priest wishlist, since that’s my main spec:

Would love as I think it’s an interesting new interaction or utility:

  • New class tree talent: mind soothe now has a CD but can soothe enrages.
  • Mind sooth now works on anything mind control does.
  • Levitate lets us move over ground effects without taking damage from said ground effects. Balanced by: levitate still breaks on damage.
  • New class tree talent: while levitating, you are immune to being rooted. Balanced by: if a spell that applies a root does damage as part of the application, you lose the levitate but do not get rooted.
  • New class tree talent: Spell ward - Ward the target. The next spell cast against the target consumes the ward instead of [dealing it’s effect|leaving it’s debuff]. 1min cd. Possibly replaces Inspiration.
  • Phantom Reach: now a choice node with Phase Shift. (Phase shift now lasts two seconds).

Would be nice QoL tweaks of Holy Talent tree:

  • Gales of Song tweak - instead of DH healing for 15% more you can now channel it while moving.

  • Swap Prismatic Echoes with Voice of Harmony in the talent tree.

  • Restitution is now a choice node with Afterlife (Choose: after you die, you can rez yourself or rez someone else).

  • Symbol of hope standardization pass (30 second off a 60sec cd is very different than 30 sec off a 5min cd.)

  • Epiphany gives you an extra charge of PoM instead of resetting the CD.

  • Lightweaver - flash heal buffs can be used for buffed heal or buffed prayer of healing.

  • Benediction: 12% chance to leave a renew on PoM bounce replaced with dragonflight s3 two-set (sanctify and serenity leave renews on whoever they heal).

  • Censure is now a choice node: stun or interrupt.

    Archon:

    • Entering Apotheosis releases a halo (it could even be at reduced healing - I just think the visual would be awesome and fit the hero tree thematics).

Would fix something currently broken:

  • Archon - Shock Pulse is now an allied speed buff instead of enemy slow. (Stacks with feather). Fixes: Archon not having anything for mobility. Fixes: that node being completely useless in raid.
  • Archon - Energy Cycle is now a choice talent. New talent: Accelerated Cycle - your halos now fire every two seconds for four seconds (instead of every five seconds for ten). Fixes: us not having anything for the spread burst AoE situations in mythic plus which are one of our biggest mythic+ pain points.
  • Everlasting Light and Pontifax swap places. Fixes: as you literally never cast Heal unless you’re lightweaving, the talent that only buffs Heal should be right next to lightweaver.
  • Renew buffed to be worth casting, PoH buffed to be worth casting. Fixes: we have spells we never cast because they’re basically useless.
  • Premonition of Solace removed from Oracle. Angelic Bulwark is now [Angelic Solace|Bulwark of Solace] and has Premonition of Solace’s effect. Fixes: Angelic Bulwark not worthy of being called a capstone. Fixes: Holy Archon has no access to a DR ability. Fixes: helps buff Holy and Disc Oracle as Piety is the strongest Premonition and Oracle is slightly underpowered in raid. Fixes: buffs disc single-target which is the main place they struggle.
  • Lightwell - instead of trying to heal one person per second, will try to heal up to five people per second. Fixes: lightwell is almost useless during burst AoE heal checks.
  • Your shadowfiend will automatically attack a new non-cc’d target in combat with you if the target you initially send it after gets killed. (Fixes: The amount of times I’ve noticed it loitering around my feet…)
  • Holy fire: now does radiant damage. Fixes: Holy fire not doing fire damage. -_-
  • Dominate mind - lasts 35 seconds instead of 30. Fixes: us not being able to reaquire a MC’d mob before it smacks us.

The toybox of ‘maybe someday’ (probably only if blizzard decided they wanted us to be meta)

  • Priests get BRez. (I actually strongly believe all healers should get BRez.)
  • Mass dispel can dispel all types instead of just magic.
  • Cascade (just because it looks amazing).

Cosmetic Ideas of Awesome

  • More Spirit of Redemption forms (e.g. forms based on the angels from Diablo)
  • Glyph of the Moon - your holy spells are tinted silver instead of gold.
  • Glyph of the Flames - your holy spells are tinted red instead of gold.
  • Glyph of the Twilight - your holy spells are tinted purple instead of gold. (Only available to shadow or disc.)
  • Glyph of the Cosmic Void - your shadow spells are tinted blue instead of purple.

Spriest mostly but some general class changes.

  • Silence is now in the priest tree for the healing specializations it’s a 30 second cooldown 4 second lockout normal interrupt. For shadow it’s the same as current but with the baseline 30 second Cooldown.
  • Phantasmal Reach replaced with a Mobility option —> my current favorite is feather brought to 70% move speed and fade giving freedom / can not be moved similar to deaths advance
  • Mass dispel cooldown brought down to 1 minute.
  • Shadowy insight made baseline, in its place new talents:
    Dark star: enemies hit by your Divine star now causes your damage overtime effects to collapse. Instantly dealing the remaining duration of their damage to the target.
    Unstable Rift. Enemies hit by your halo have the duration of Vampiric Touch and Shadow Word: Pain refreshed.
  • Void Form and ** Dark Ascension** and now instant cast.
  • Psyfiend can once again be effect by Power Word: Shield

Finally and probably the removal of our overly bogged down 2 point talents. Buff them and make them single points. We’ve got like 9 alone in the shadow tree if you include shadow crash.

This is what I have got for starters. I’m sure if I was at my computer I could come up with atleast 5 more things I’d like see be done but.

Giving some utility back to the class
An actual mobility spell
More integrating with halo / divine start outside of archon
Making something baseline feel better
Removal of the ton of 2 point talents
Instant cast burst CD

Unstable rift would be better if it echoed VT/Pain dots around enemies it touches that have VT/pain. You could decide to use crash or halo to help spread VT/pain in different pulls. The mobs would be stacked up by the time your dots are expiring, generally, and the wide area of halo is kinda wasted if it only refreshed dots on mobs that are already going to be stacked up.

The dark star is interesting and would make interesting choices of using Divine Star to collapse dots, or using halo to extend/spread dots

Give for us Spectral Guise back! With one talent in tree, while in stealth the priest move 50% more fast.

In cata we could actually do this for some mechanics/ground slams and it was epic ( big guys before Ozruk in Stonecore did a smash we could jump or levitate over ) xD

Waygate
Create and step through a waygate becoming untargetable for 3 seconds(all buffs/debuffs are paused during this time) during that time you may select a location you can see within 30 yards and teleport to that location.

1 minute CD

Glyphs added to give it a holy/void appearance as desired by the player. General concept is you step out of reality and time, which is why all buffs/debuffs would pause, including shields/HoTs/DoTs while in the space.

Circle of Healing empowers Prayer of Healing and makes PoH instant cast

Literally. Anything.

They said they were going to add Cascade back sometime in Dragonflight and never did. It should’ve been the Archon spell, at the very least.
Really would like some cosmetic options in Glyphs like you said, though.

Side note and technically not a Priest-specific thing, but I am hoping that in the future Undead will get their light-infused options, similar to Calia or the undead the Arathi raised. At the very least the ability to actually stand upright like people have asked for ages.
Bonus if they can be a neutral choice for faction like Earthen, deciding to return to their old families or stay with their new Forsaken ones.

My wishlist is go back to S1 DF spriest, with a choice node between sear and link, as with all specs less or no 2 talent nodes and fill back up with new talents.

I’ve been also contemplating the purpose that spike could have, I think that having it as an alternative to flay is pretty uninteresting, I would instead prefer if it was like fire mage fire burst, which means it could be used in between other abilities and doesn’t follow standard gcd, but could only be used when it proceed, with a medium proc rate frequency, based on either dot ticks or other ability casts, and generates apparitions.

Also make crit conjure 2 apparitions.

I want holy priest to be OP and make all the other healers look like garbage

I just want 3 things for a spriest:

  1. Mind Sear back as a node option to Shadow Crash. Or at least 2 charges of Shadow Crash. ANYTHING to make that AoE better because IDK if there’s a spec with a more frustrating AoE method.
  1. Might be silly… but remove the sparkly effect on Levitate, and offer it back via a glyph. Levitate used to have no spell effect and looked great and fit for all specs, now looks horrible for Shadow.
  2. Put up glyphs, or class trainer toggles, to make all Holy themed spells having a shadow appearance for Shadow. Like PW:S, renew, PoM, Holy Nova.

Shadow

Vampiric Touch replaces Shadow Word:Pain, Vampiric Touch is now instant cast and tags up to 3 additional nearby targets and leech on Vampiric Touch is doubled.

Removal of Shadow Crash, or convert its AoE properties to a passive node to make the changes for Vampiric Touch above.

Mind blast charges removed. Would also like cosmetic changes, to show each target getting Mind blasted from Psychic Link.

Separate Void Form from Void Eruption, and make it a capstone choice to with Dark Ascension to replace Shadowform so either is always active(in combat). (Pipedream)

Allow additional casting while channeling Void Torrent or Change Void Torrent so it’s like Dimensional Rift. (Since they removed that from Warlock)

My wishlist:

General

  • All healing priests get a combat rez.
  • Halo now a baseline spell.

Class Tree

  • Void Shift is on a choice node with new talent: Void Swap. Void Swap swaps your location with the target’s location. Can be cast on friendly targets, hostile targets, or your Angelic Feathers (will consume the Feather).
  • Silence moved to class tree.
  • Mass Dispel restored to its former glory.
  • Dominate Mind: when the effect of Dominate Mind fades, aggro is returned to the last target that had it (usually the tank) rather than reset.
  • Power Word: Life buffed and now on a choice node with returning talent Cascade.
  • New talent: Mass Leap of Faith. Pulls all friendly targets in a 40 yard radius to 3 yards in front of you. 5 min CD. Just for funsies.

Shadow

  • Shadow forms are now customizable in barber shop. Collect various Shadowform customization appearances, including Shadowflame, Shadowfrost, Shadow Orbs, and so forth. Adjust the transparency of the form.
  • Void Form and Dark Ascension now instant cast.
  • Shadow Crash removed. Halo now applies Vampiric Touch to all targets hit, cooldown reduced to 22s (reduced further by haste). Damage nerfed to compensate.
  • Void Torrent and Devouring Plague buffed considerably. Make periodic damage spenders/CDs great again.

Holy

  • Remove Circle of Healing and the two talents below it. Buff Prayer of Healing so it’s worth casting.

Discipline

  • Replace/rework Twilight Equilibrium and Expiation.

What?? Why would you EVER want mind blast charges to be removed?

Probably because in the past when it didn’t have charges the thing hit like a truck.

That would be 100% be a stepback, having 2 charges on a cd rotation ability is pretty much a must. Especially with procs.

Also, it didn’t hit like a truck, like ever. That’s not the point of the ability.

Oh yes it did. Back during vanilla/TBC/Wraith it was one of our higher damaging abilities. While our DoTs did more damage over all MB was our defacto “burst” damage option if we got the cast off and it did a pretty good chunk of damage, especially compared to now.

No it didn’t, also it’s never gonna happen. We are not going back to 1 charge. That would be such a massive downgrade.

And even if it did, the only reason is because you had very few abilities, and the purpose of mind blast was completely different from now.

So no, 1 charge mind blast should NEVER come back, ever.

“Its never gonna happen” I hate to tell you but pretty much nothing in this thread is ever going to happen. That doesn’t mean people can’t wish it would, and it also doesn’t mean people can’t prefer it a specific way regardless of how good or bad you think it will be or was.
