Agree with a lot of the holy priest ideas here but here are some of mine:
Binding Heal: increases the amount on self from 20% to 50 or 60%. Reasoning: Holy Priest struggles with large AOE healing, and increasing the amount of passive self healing you do through the light weaver build could be one way to help. I know most people would say just buff prayer of healing, etc but Iâm always a fan of build variety.
Prayer of Mending buff: the numbers just need heavily tuned on PoM, especially in m+. It does less than 1 flash heal even if it jumps to all targets, which doesnât even happen that often.
Defensive cooldown idea: a 1 minute CD that makes poM apply a sizeable shield on everyone that it jumps to, not just oracles crappy talent that gives a tiny shield to one person. Thereâs no rule that says Discipline priest is the only spec thatâs allowed to have shields. We neither either more shields or straight up damage reduction in our kit.
My wishlist is pretty simple.
- Remove the Oracle visual from my forehead.
- Give Holy more angel-themed abilities, including Angel-tier mobility.
- Give Holy an interrupt.
- Give Holy a combat rez.
At this point I really wish they would split Priest into two different classes entirely. Itâs upsetting that the only Light-based caster in the entire game is still so reliant on shadow spells like SWP and Shadowfiend, and Iâm sure Shadow priests feel weird having light spells as well. Disc is a total identity crisis that doesnât make any sense at all.

So your vision is MB as a no CD psychic link cleave option with VT being the only DoT and method of applying it?
You would Cleave through Psychic Link. Mind Blast would be a free cast.
The reason I think it should Cleave is that is how it works for a Mindflayer. A frontal cone cleave, that stuns, opening them up to Mindflay. In our case Mind Blast would cleave, fishing for Surge of Insanity Procs to Mindflay.
Basically, you would tag a small group (4) With Vampiric Touch, that would prime them with Leech, you would then spam Mind Blast, until you got Surge, then you would Mindflay. Devouring Plague as a spender, for big leech on a single target.
This would create the base loop and feel like a Mindflayer.
Could go back to Orbs and create spender choice between, Devouring Plague(Leech), Void Torrent(Dimensional Rift), Void Eruption, or Void Wraith.
In short, yes.

Revert Harsh Discipline to DF S2.
Change Waste No Time to be a duplicate of DF S2 4-set bonus.
Buff Oracle damage, emphasis on Purge the Wicked, Divine Star/Cascade*(add this).
Holy Nova on target instead of myself.
Oh, I like this. I would love the ability to holy nova (and psychic scream) on targets instead of self.

My wishlist is short and sweet and doesnât involve sweeping reworks because they donât have the staff to achieve that.

Dark Ascension and Void Eruption are instant. Void Eruption no longer requires a target and instead hits all enemies affected by vamp touch.

Mind Blast and Execute shadow word death now deal sensible damage without requiring 3 debuffs, 2 buffs, and a crit.

Phantasm now removes roots and prevents movement impairment below 100% for its duration.
After reviewing the hps of my talents we really need a rework. The balance of abilities is far out the window and I think prayer of healing should be reworked as well.
angelic feather giving us a bit more speed so we can catch up quicker and levitate removing roots are actually such good ideas, anything that could help us remove roots would be great really.
I like having Shadowy Insight to grant that style of gameplay where it both allows you to be a bit more mobile and generate more resources.
But I also think a separate gameplay style option can be chosen instead.
So this means Shadowy Insight should stay a talent (stating this because some people have said they want it to be baseline in the spec which is just silly imo as proc type gameplay should be an advanced level of gameplay offered by talents and not forced on everyone).
But in order to justify itâs power, the current talent Thought Harvester granting Mind Blast and additional charge should once again be merged back with Shadowy Insight.
Then make it a choice node with another talent that turns Mind Blast into a more limited use hard hitting spell.
This again goes back to an aspect of Clarity of Power back in WoD.
- Shadowy Insight
Shadow Word: Pain periodic damage has a chance to reset the remaining cooldown on Mind Blast, causing your next Mind Blast to be instant and temporary increase the maximum charges of Mind Blast when it triggers.
(Choice) - Clarity of Power
Mind Blast becomes instant cast and its damage is increased by 100% and an additional 100% on targets that are not afflicted with your Vampiric Touch and Shadow Word: Pain.
What this option does is make it so you either have more uptime on Mind Blast to use for increased mobility and resources generation OR you have less uptime but it always is instant cast and deals more damage and a bonus increased damage to targets not afflicted by your primary DoTs to be useful in such cases as when the enemy removes your dots from dispel or the target wonât last long enough to justify dotting them up.
My wishlist:
Twilight equilibrium should be given some love. It made sense at some point but with the nature of disc spamming smite/void blast, itâs not capstone worthy anymore⊠Have the effect stack so that you can cast multiple spells of the same school to empower the next from the orher school more. (It will likely need rebalancing thoughâŠ)
Have contrition do damage on ennmies nerby the target instead of healing on other allies with attonement. Might not be great for pvp but could give a new breath of life to defensive penance in pveâŠ
Overloaded with light should share the spot with another node to be used outside raid groups. Or redesign the node so that it can be useful on smaller groups.
Move spell warding to a place where shadow/disc arent forced into holy nova to take it.
Make dominate mind interrupt spellcasting when target is immune. Still a VERY meh interrupt (with a cast timeâŠ) but at least it can become somewhat useable outside its niche scenarios without impact on pvp.
Phantom reach is nice but is it really capstone worthy? Feels like a really good spot for door of shadow no? /Wink /wink
Crystaline reflexion should be brought on disc tree and powered up. It was so much more interresting as an artifact for disc in shadowlands, this node is just a shadow of it self now and shadow and holy donât even want it.
There surely is a lot moreto say, but Iâd be happy seeing a few of these brought to life at leastâŠ
Small thing but I wish Prayer of Mending ( the original cast ) would put atonement on people. Possibly also add some kind of buff to it too for oracle disc.
3 things without going into too much of a rework, the obvious:

Even my buddies who arenât SP players sympathize with me on pulls. They immediately know when Shadow Crash misses or when I canât do any dmg to the additional mobs that get pulled in especially in Ara Kara, Necrotic Wake in this seasonâs dungeon rotation. IDK, I just do more dmg on the same pulls with my prot pally, -10 ilvl lock, -20 ilvl mage. -
Dark Ascension buffs VT and MF,MF:I
Dark Ascension buffs direct dmg currently, but Dark Ascension should be buffing Void Torrent and MF, MF: Insanity too. I understand that channeled abilities are considered DOTs, but they can be considered direct dmg casts too. -
SP Blizzard Auras/Auras updated.
I made my own WA for the 3rd/4th stack of MF: Insanity. Basically the same animation as the 1st/2nd stack ones, just on the outsides. Twist of Fate is a very iconic buff to SPs among the SPs, a visual aura to when this buff is active would be nice.
