People like to theorize and chit chat about what they are excited about When i was young (and played other games ) and found out a game was coming out that I was interested in all I did was talk to my friends at school about that game and searched the internet for any scraps of information I could find and since this was like 90s/00s I also looked at magazines for news too lol.
There’s people out there talking about Elder Scrolls 6 already I think the LoL MMO has more work done than ES6 lol.
When I attempted to sear myself from WoW a few months back I leapt deeply into FFXIV, yet it couldn’t hold me. It has so much history that I’m not a part of, and I just felt confused and overwhelmed all the time.
WoW is my Game Home. I’ve been here forever, through everything, and it’s as comfortable as my favourite pyjamas, if a little tattered and frayed now!
So I might try the new LoL MMO. I’m worried about the community, but that won’t deter me. It would be nice to be at the start of something again.
i dunno… there isnt any information it. Im not making that of decision based on nothing. If you are so eager to jump ship that you would pledge yourself to a thing you know nothing about, just go now stop torturing yourself
only mmo ive really thought was good other than wow was swg, and perhaps elderscrolls for a little while, ok ok and lotro but dont hold that against me. ungh, yeah gw2 was fun too for a while.
Every MMORPG that has ever been made, except for Everquest (one), World of Warcraft, and FFXIV, has been a total steaming pile of dung.
So I’d say it is too early to tell.
Shadowbane was going to Kill Everquest (one), do you even remember Shadowbane? It was among a bunch of MMORPGS that were supposed to get me out of EQ(1) finally, having played it since the beta:
The first game that got me out of EQ(1), forever, was World of Warcraft (playing it since beta phase 3.) Wow did it to the point where I never logged into EQ again, never said goodbye on the message boards or anything; I actually forgot to even cancel my sub to it for 3 months.
I used EQ as kind of the “acid test”, as far as if an MMORPG is actually “better.” Before WoW I briefly played “City of Heroes.” It was not really “better”, though; it was kind of a distraction until I got in beta phase 3 of Wow.
So, I’ve never played FF before but from what I’ve seen people say FF is big on story and while it does have end game PVE (dungeons raids) it isn’t on the level of Wow. That said, I don’t do many current content dungeons or raids I’m primarily a collector and, again from what I’ve read, FF also doesn’t have a collection system like Wows. So as a person who cares exactly 0 about story FF is not competition to wow for me.
Maybe it is for others, maybe someone doesn’t care about any of the stuff I care about and they are 100% focused on story, then FF is competition to Wow for them. A MMO or any game really isn’t competition to another game simply because it is in the same genre or is popular At least that’s how I look at it.
Everyone says it is good and I’ve seen articles saying it is doing really well buuuuut I can’t remember the last time I watched anything animated This is a general summary of what you’ll find in my Netflix history
Riots MMO is the first MMO that’s got me interested in playing it besides WoW.
Riot right now feel like early Blizzard, just constantly releasing gold. They’ve got the biggest MOBA, one of the biggest shooters, the biggest autobattler, one of the biggest mobile games, one of the most well received netflix shows to date, a very successful card game and two standalone games that have recieved pretty favourable reviews.
If any company has the talent, experience and actual drive to make a good MMO, it’s Riot. Especially with how much they’ve invested into the lorebuilding.
Wrong. Pantheons lore is literally better than anything WoW has done.
A significant chunk of Arcanes story is focused on the criminal underworld of Zaun. It’s well worth a watch even if animated stuff generally isn’t what you watch.
If League of Legends is any indicator, it will be loaded with micro transaction. The game will be built from the ground up to empty peoples wallets and bank accounts.
I don’t see WoW as a sinking ship… I see it as a nice car with a flat tire.
