Will you quit WoW for the LoL MMO

Personal preference really. Bilgewater has some crazy good themes, gp and kench are on par to pyke’s imo.

What has Riot done of note besides League? What makes them good?

Regardless, I’ll play it if it looks good, will I quit WoW blindly to dive in? Probably not.

Yeah I saw a neat video on someone deep diving into how riot operates and it seems they take what someone has done before and have been successful in making it better with minimal to zero hoops so that players can just jump in and enjoy.

As much as I enjoy WoW’s fantasy and all, if they do it right, LoL mmo may be interesting to tip the scale for me if I still am playing when it’s released.

For one, Riot has hired most of the old guard Blizzard developers, so that potentially makes them very good on top of making one of the most successful games in the world.

I only quit wow because of wow. It’s never really another game that does it.

Arcane is a masterpiece. They’ve got an RPG out, though I forget the title—The Risen King or something like that? I think they have a Runeterra fighter in production that looks promising. Didn’t they acquire the team making Hytale as well?

Nope.

Ruined King, yeah. They also have Valorant a FPS and Legends of Runeterra a card game. All good games

It wasn’t a slight, just a question. I wouldn’t put Riot above many top studios just because League dominates the Moba market.

Arcane is great. But I was talking more about on the Video Game spectrum.

if by “LOL” you mean “lost ark” (which of course I know you don’t mean that) lol then probably i will be playing that far more than wow over the next few months.

Whether or not i come back to wow is up to blizzard in 10.0 I don’t see myself playing much after the end of 9.1.5 with how 9.2 is shaping up on ptr

If Mr. T and William Shatner make commercials for LoL I might give it a shot. Otherwise… doubt it.

I’ll give it a try if it looks good.

That’s about as much as I can say.

Sometimes I try new games.

But I always keep my Wow sub. I never “quit”.

I just try new games. And so far, they don’t measure up.

I won’t quit, I wasn’t even interested in the riot mmo.

Then I watched Arcane and now I’m quite interested in what it will be about.

If it be good and better than WoW, Yes.
If not, No.

Simple as that

We haven’t even seen gameplay yet.

I took it as an honest question. If I came off hostile in some way it was unintended. Credit where it is due regarding Arcane: the animation studio gets the lion’s share of kudos. But the character writing, story, and world building managed to be gripping and convey volumes with practically no exposition. That reflects pretty well on Riot, and hopefully that level of detail/quality would translate into game releases at least a little.

Just to clarify, I’ve only played League of Legends (and even then it’s been years and years since I’ve touched it) so I’m primarily basing information on public reviews and sentiment. Except for Arcane, of course, which I soapbox for to anyone who hasn’t watched it.

Sure use to be - prior to BFA & Shadowlands. Honestly they need to completely retcon the whole “ThE JaiLoR wAs BeHiNd iT ALL!” – because it really just cheapens the great lore of the past rather crudely & disrespectfully, for the mere purpose of flexing such a cheap F’ing villain.

I normally try to avoid swearing connotations on the forums for obvious reasons, but seriously - Shadowlands was supposed to be a symbolic mysterious plane of eternity & spiritual wonders - and yet: It’s cold, entropic, overly calculated BS mixed with a lot of robotic nonsense far too often.

Why dont I start a thread on Reddit about the next spiderman movie. Even though I have no news to cover on the subject because there is none. Nothing to base an opinion on either. Why? Its about 3-5years away!!! Are you insane OP? Why even bring up something thats this far off!?

Arcane is literally better than anything WoW has put out… probably ever lmfao.
