Is that why most of the world supports palestine? Newsflash. If you are a ruthless jerk and humilate an entire race on purpose people tend to hate you more often. And Azshara and her entire empire deserve all the hate possible.

Side Note: Seriously though, is it likely that smaller unknown tribes were wiped out? Probably. But we will never know if that was due to kaldorei aggression, they simply starved to death, or fled and were folded into their respective tribes
It doesnāt matter what her intentions was. She abused her power to humiliate an entire race of people and steal all their land to build her own empire. She gets the same hate for why Israel is getting hate by attacking targets who arenāt aven aligned with the Hamas. Unlimited power makes you an unlimited douchebag by default.

Yes she did the best she could to turn them into broken people without purpose. The decline of all troll nations started due to HER reign. That is also a fact. And the Sundering is her direct fault.

She took the troll land and most likley demanded tribute payments during her reign. And then plastered new night elf cities all over her new empire which is why we see their ruins everywhere today still.
I will not ignore troll genocide just because it makes elf fans uncomfortable.

We need some real comparisons because it seems in a fictional world people seem to not realise how these wars, agressions, land takings etc work until the people sitting behind their monitors see it with their own eyes.

Where are the troll city ruins then? They almost controlled just as much land as the night elves did.
If you look at the map of the kaldorei empire, there is a lot of vast open space inbetween the major cities. We donāt know if anyone actually lived in those vast untamed areas or not.

The word genocide only enters the conversation because of narrative bias.
The incident in question is the only time I can think of, (in the lore) when a besieged party is given the opportunity to almost fully evacuate as a matter of strategy. This is confirmed when sheās all āThereās no one left sob sobā Thatās genocide because Golden said so, but itās not worse (in terms of brutality and mass murder) than the purge.
