I know reading is hard. So, I’ll reply by repeating the second half of my comment which you failed to read before running your mouth.
Discourse would imply that you are reading what I’ve written and responding to it. Not reading what you want to read then sticking your fingers in your ears and responding with personal attacks.

You do get banned but it’s just slower than usual and it takes a lot of reports for some odd reason. Under Phil Spencer, it’ll be much quicker.

the issue is that it’s almost impossible to do by automation. It’s entirely possible that what seems like a racist/sexist comment or player name is an inside joke among friends taken out of context or someone deciding to own a part of their identity. Not saying that this is the majority of cases, but it’s also not uncommon enough that it would introduce a statistically significant false positive rate, or you under-tune it to account for that, and you have a statically significant false negative rate.
If Blizzard banned racists, they’d have to ban most of the people complaining about black blood elves, or even humans.
Well seeing how your tossing insults at people replying to your complaint…. I see why Blizz hasn’t done anything. It seems like y’all are just bickering back and forth.
In my 14 years of playing, I have dealt with ongoing harassment after someone was blocked UNLESS I was keeping it instigated.
So judging from your behaviors in this thread, seems like we are not getting the full story.
Negative. If you put GM’s on populated servers you will come to find that /2 is no longer sociable. /2 is for boosting advertisements…not for trading/selling raw or refined materials.
May as well be a digital mold/virus. Boosters are scum.
Weird, if I were facing constant harassment from multiple people daily as the OP is accusing I wouldn’t want to participate in the game anymore. If they truly aren’t doing anything about it I wouldn’t want to give them my money either. Kind of odd staying around when having to deal with all that.

I did quit. I closed my community because of it. I quit the game. I came back recently. on a new server, with new characters. But the LFG tool issue is the last straw for me. I have chosen not to renew my sub. I am essentially quitting for good now. But, since Microsoft has bought Activision Blizzard, I’ll keep an eye on it to see if the relationship with the players and policies improve.
But also, I still probably would need a lot of free game time as incentive to come back because I’m not holding my breath that any significant changes or improvents are going to be made.

That was in response to someone else calling me out for continuing to play the game. I was simply stating that I have quit and there’s probably no way I’m gonna come back. but now that Microsoft has bought It might give it another chance. I might not need such quite a strong incentive to return but considering how terrible lizard has treated its player base in my opinion considering how they have completely failed to control or punish any kind of harassment in a real deterrence it would make people stop. yeah I’m not gonna come back and play a game where I suffer harassment and pay for it. why would I pay to play a game where I’m getting harassed on a regular basis?
My ex “step daughter” falsely accused her custodial Father in another state of “assaulting” her. This was while she was here for two weeks with my ex wife and I.
Judging by the way she said it, as well as laughing and joking about it with me on the phone, I was pretty sure what she was saying was not true. However, my ex wife and her Mother saw it as a chance to try to sue for custody of my ex step daughter again; this was when the ex step daughter was 17.
There was a child advocate who interviewed the ex step daughter, both here and in the state the custodial Father was in, but she never said anything about any assault to him (even here, which was a “safe space.” )
Because of that, the claim was found to be totally unfounded and of course my ex wife and her mother did not get custody. However, the expenses were enough to finally push us over the edge into bankruptcy whereupon my ex wife divorced me (blaming me for money problems, rather then the added strain of them trying to gain custody.)
I’ve never really “blamed” my ex step daughter, though. I’ve not heard from her since back when that happened but we always got along. I blame my ex wife and her mother for believing what was obviously totally made up, especially in light of the daughter saying nothing with the child advocate (again, even when she was here and “safe.”)
The daughter basically said every bad “movie of the week”, or “hallmark movie cliché/whatever”, line when my ex wife and her mother wanted the daughter to be “examined” in order to see if there might be any physical evidence of her claim; “That would be too much like it all happening over again!”, said the daughter.
The initial reason why I doubted what my ex step daughter was saying was that she had a history of making up stories, which I had seen in just six years of knowing her and my ex wife. I saw a pattern where she would make up a story about the custodial side when she was with us, then she’d make up another story about my ex wife’s side when she was back with the custodial Father; neither of their sides saw that, wanting to believe the worst about the other one. So the daughter was basically “text book” at manipulating the two sides of divorced parents.
So yes, people do “lie” and it can ruin lives. We have courts because anyone can and will lie. The entertainment industry is just very prone to “cancel” people without due process.
