I agree, my daughter and myself have played this game for 14 yrs, and maybe 3 times at the most were we ever hit on in game between the 2 of us… but I’m beginning to think its not the men in game, but the women who idealize themselves as delicate little flowers, who swoon and clutch their pearls,… and then blame the whole male population for one guys bad behavior. It’s really not that hard to ignore and move on, instead of wringing your hands and fretting over “oh my gosh, this ONE guy has totally ruined my game play FOREVER!!” smh

Not to sound like a White Knight or anything but it’s those sorts of men that are the problem, and we need to call them out more, and tell them that their behavior is no longer acceptable or okay, as that’s sometimes all it takes that one toxic person to ruin it for everyone,
I think we need to do more to stop this kind of behavior that’s all.

Funny, after reading most of the responses, it seems people are arguing very different things. Its almost like they all had a different take on the OP.
- Some are arguing about sexual harassment including physical contact in the workplace. Specifically the lawsuit.
- Some are arguing treating women better in game and not being a toxic male gamer.
- Some are simply arguing about treating women better in the whole world.
If you are arguing the lawsuit and that kind of contact, I seriously doubt anyone on here disagrees.
If you are talking about treat women better in game, you will get a mix, like the poster above that monitored their daughters playing. I think this one is about 50/50 because many people myself included, have NOT seen women treated poorly in game *your mileage may vary) but in fact have seen the opposite by young white knight practically giving almost everything they have to female players.
If you are arguing about treating women just better overall in the world, thats where the people go you have to earn respect. Many men have had their lives destroyed by trusting their mothers, wives or daughters and are not going to blinding give a leg up to women until they prove themselves worthy.

LOL …it’s fine. I don’t get offended. Honestly I did have to put many men in their place in my career… but everyone of those same men, cried tears at my retirement party because they didn’t want me to go… And every moment of it was worth that respect…

Darling, How you handle a toxic person is up to you…/ignore does wonders. From my experience the vast majority of men in the world are nice and attacking them because a couple guys were not nice to you…is generalization and makes you the toxic one. < sips a little wine> My advice to you is…sometimes its better to /ignore and not give a toxic person attention. It also won’t make you a target for others.

In my opinion, treating women like they are fragile little snowflakes is a bad move and I doubt women want to be treated as such. Not saying that is an excuse to act like a douchenozel of course.
Hell one of the women I play a game with actively jokes about men being all dicks and makes us eat disgusting rp foods. She’s pretty hardcore and a huge contributer to the team and our goals.
