Why you should play Ret Paladin

Considering your deep, well-thought out post on the topic, it sounds like someone was globalled and corpse-camped as a free kill by a Ret Paladin back in the day.

What’s that? You died. Oh well, I have no mana from killing the pack of mobs that got you, so take your time running back.

If I feel like it, I’ll rez you.

Here is a link to the Spelladin thread on the forums if anyone wants to go more in-depth with the most recent ret meta work.

Note: The thread has a lot of discussion on resolved topics and the op can act spergy at times but it a good resource of info.

I played a ret paladin back then. Only thing they globaled was people 45 levels below them if seal of command procced.

So I rerolled warrior and started actually globaling people.

Judging by your post you have absolutely 0 knowledge about paladins in Vanilla. Ret wasn’t even considered DPS. They were referred to as “DPM” because their damage sucked so hard.

Nice try troll.

A 0/25/26 build will put out more burst than a Warrior. No amount of Mortal Strike is competing with putting out 5 auto attacks + Seal of Righteousness in 1 swing.

Even without Reckoning doing white hit + Seal of Command + Judgement is nothing to scoff at, especially if the target is stunned and taking double damage from Judgement of Command.

Their damage was made fun of because in PvE Seal of Command, or Seal of Casino as we called it, was unreliable and had wildly variable results depending on your luck.

In PvP though, a Ret Paladin that knows how to play can put out respectable burst.

Sure. Go ahead on then.

dude you are a bad player if you cant pull 7 elites in retail and , classic will have a ton of player base when it first came out it had 8 million subs obviously you are just trolling

I’m thinking about the possibility of Righteousness as the default seal, then hit Command right when Judgment is up. Then back to Righteousness…all while using a MCP…

did you just admit to dying to 2 elite mobs in retail?

You do sound like the type of person to die to an elite in legion/BFA :joy: you retail babies make me laugh

 this is funny AS F he he cant take 2 elites

I know, right?

i took like 50 mobs on earlier with this WQ and he cant take 2 elites

Everyone knows private servers have it horribly wrong. There’s a reason why fury warriors everywhere on them but they weren’t in Vanilla.

nope, has nothing to do with private servers. Fury warriors were the best in patch 1.12 of real vanilla, duel wielding and fury warrior as a class was balanced in the later patches which made fury warrior really good.

the main differences in private servers are not class specific, it’s mostly major differences that effect all classes the same.

When you get past T1, you’re going to find that classic is far more difficult than you seem to believe now. Btw, you wouldn’t get past ragnaros with 40 paladins, assuming you could even reach it. You need something called damage, to kill a boss. You can’t just spend all day chopping at one. Your healers will run dry long before a boss get tired.

The original game had different class numbers because the game changed over the patches, and no one knew what the future was going to hold. No one knew that warriors were going to be top, or that warlocks would not be a trash class in later patches. Private servers are full of meta knowledge, which is exactly what you’ll have here. The game will already be at its end point, with experienced players and guides. There’s no “I hope my bad class will be good one day”. The answer is already in effect. Similarly, druids, a popular class back then, will be nearly extinct now because everyone already knows it’s bad in 1.12, and will never get any better. Back then, you just guessed as to which class was going to excel because it could change any patch. That’s not going to be the case now.

no i believe thats because of swifty plus fury warrior is best for pvp

Try to keep up, I was explaining to you, because you’re ignorant, how classic pales in comparison in difficulty and content compared to retail.
Silly classic fanboy, who thinks anything in classic is “hard”. Lol even the leveling is easier in classic…what a joke.

nah 1.12 fury warriors got nerfed dude before that they were the best you could be right ( i dont remember if the nerf was that bad)

Lol. You people and trying to make classic raiding sound hard. You know these raids were completed by clickers and keyboard turners that had no idea how to play their class.

The hardest thing about Vanilla raids is move out of fire, 40 paladins could easily beat any enrage timer.
