Why you should play Ret Paladin

You’ll just have the Shamans pushing both Enhancement and Elemental.

If I am reading the Spelladin correctly, you’re decent DPS from spellpower armor of any type, SoR (paradoxically not Command), and MCPs.

You need a lot more than the basics to meet Warrior/Rogue/Mage DPS levels, though, including using oils on disposable MCPs. You are correct there.

I still believe MCP and spellpower armor alone will produce better results than an AP stacking LOLRet. I mean, we’ve seen over a decade of AP LOLRet, so what do we truly have to lose here???

the thing is enh and ele work, and don’t steal gear form casters which the guild sure as hell wont let you do lol

In raiding, Enh is worse off than Ret. It’s arguably the worst spec in the game raid-wise. It’s not even a terribly great use of Nightfall compared to other classes.

Even if the spell damage build works out, Ret does it a lot better than Enh can.

Elemental does work a bit better once you get into the higher raid tiers and can get some properly itemized gear though, true.

Enhace might suffer the same issue Ret does.

I’m legit curious how a Spellhance with more of a Totem Support build would fare.

lolret

Put your cloth armour back on and go back to healing like a good paladin should.

Yes I dare you to pull two elites in Naz or Mec, it would be grand. You obviously have no idea what you’re talking about.

Look at you cry about retail, the real Vanilla.

Classic fanboys are histerical, I hope then don’t have a breakdown when classic has no player base after a year.

I was talking about 8.2

8.2 has much harder, and varied, world content than anything in Classic.

No offense, but if they didn’t have CRZ, Sharding, and cross realm, there wouldn’t be more than a handful of live servers currently. Lets not act like retail hasn’t lost most of its players over the years.

Ebbs and flows of the expansion cycles. Lets not pretend retail isn’t still the biggest and most successful MMO going, by far.

Ebbs and flows? The ebbs have been larger than the flows over the last decade. It may be the largest subscription mmo out there still, but it had a massive head start and don’t have much in the way of competition. BfA is not exactly helping their cause.

Meh I don’t see it, game is popping every night. Tons of Wpvp, open world groups, BGs, arenas, raiding, M+…

Still the king of the hill, and will be throughout the lifecycle of classic.

Well yeah, CRZ and sharding ensures you will always see someone lol.

thats if you can get in to a raid as a ret paladin.there is also the unstoppable force 2hd mace from av exalted.

I see to many Horde, that’s for sure. But thank God. I’m sure People won’t see another soul in classic for days… especially while leveling some of the odd zones.

With the way layering is going to work, I wouldn’t hold my breath on that.

Thunderfury is better, but it’s more realistic to get your hands on an ironfoe, blade of hanna, or flurry axe. Those will last all the way until naxx, and that’s only if corrupted ashbringer scales with SP, or only if you get hungering cold(unlikely), or thunderfury before then(very unlikely.)

That’s the real hurdle. More than gear, more than learning to play well, more than how quick you level or what you can do; convincing others to have you in their raid group is the greatest challenge any non-healing hybrid faces. Really gotta put yourself out there and be a likeable person. Being friends with people is the best buff you can get, especially if they happen to be tanks or healers.

Ret pallies in classic, for the 1000th time.

Luuuuuuuuuul

Don’t worry, it’s going to get nerfed.
