This is the only discussion we can have on here because anything else turns into “omg if you want to change anything about classic or have an opinion even if it’s not to change something go play retail!!”
So I guess I’ll hop in. Even if they do it that fast, no one is going to be decked out in tier gear. It took me months of running MC to get full giant stalker. Competing against 6 other hunters and then not even having the helm drop for 2 months will do that, for example.
So even if people do, it’s not a big deal. You don’t clear a raid twice like BFA and get half of the gear you need equipped. You have 3-7x the amount of people to compete against in an average raid, and the bosses drop just about the same amount as current day 20 man raids.

Good question, and I agree. It should come down to everyone’s personal goals. I think what the OP is trying to accomplishing is quelling toxic feedback and backlash towards speed-levelers and those aiming for world-firsts. There are those who accuse them of being elitist jerks that worsen the community. Honestly, though, none of us care or view anyone else as any worse for wanting to play casually. It is best if everyone plays their own way and has fun.

Not much. The fire resist buff outside of ubrs and a few fire pots is enough.

Wow. That is convenient and not unbelievable in the slightest. I feel ya though. I solod Ony during patch 1.5 on a holy priest. I don’t think we have to worry about a Rag kill in first week…people won’t even be max level. Like some of the fastest max level chars I have heard of from vanilla was still 8-10 days PLAYED time.
I was “hardcore” for about a year. Almost cost me my life, job, relationships, etc. All I know is, anyone who’s that way for years must not have any of those things.
No, I do NOT envy them one iota. Only thing “Hardcore” about them is their devotion to being a RL loser.
What server did you perform these amazing feats on? Forgive me if I’ve missed it but i can only read through a thread like this once.

Except I have gladiator, I have hero of the alliance, I have 300,000+ honorable kills, and many other feats lol. None of that will actually matter in classic because its a completely different game.
Why would anyone want to look for your proof when you’re the one claiming you did these things? Things that players on private servers with supposedly easier resistances and better itemization and loot still cant do 14 years later? And not within a days time but 3 entire days earlier. Ontop of said guild trying to get it done as quick as possible with an entire guild, you’re claiming you pugged it within 7 days.

Also from my personal experience I remember playing against him in Warsong Gulch on my firestone specced warlock. I was all alone defending the flagroom when Shantino and his personal entourage of 7 orc rogues entered inside. Through some clever usage of howl of terror, siphon life, and summon infernal, I was able to beat all 8 of them in 1v8 combat.
RNG was truly on my side that day as I was shooting instant cast shadowbolts one after the other. My entire team started chanting “Sexgodironsides!” (my characters name) as I delivered the final melee hit on Shantino with my firestone enhanced dagger. My entire team came back to the base at this point with the flag and started /clapping for me and the one druid healer (who was goth and had big boobs irl) said “oh he cute”.
It’s good to see another player from the good old days back on here.
