Why you should not care if Rag is downed in week 1

Basically, there is a spectrum of players in every game and in life.

The Extreme Casuals (some1 who only has a few hours a week to play if that) all the way to the Extreme Professionals (some1 who plays WoW 80% of their waking hours… they probably even dream about WoW).

Just find where you fit in the spectrum and use that to your strengths. You will not be able to control how others will play the game. To the Extreme Professional, downing Content in week 1 means being ahead (40+epics) so they can dominate all aspects of the game because it is their full-time jobs to do so and they find it fun.

Why do you care about what other people decide to do with their time? If you started playing CS:GO right now and got Pwned by a Pro would you quit/complain?

Just step into the light and accept your place in the spectrum.
At the end of the day… none of it matters. You can cry/complain all you want. The professionals will continue being pros and the casuals will be casuals.

I plan on downing Rag in week 1, because I have done it b4 in 2005’s fresh servers (with 37 players and not all of them were lvl 60) so I already know I can do it.

Yeah, im gonna need a citation on that because i aint buying what youre selling.

The reason i “care” is because it sets an expectation that is…well, toxic is the best word but it has a negative connotation these days. It ends up with people complaining that the content needs to be buffed because its “too easy” or people becoming elitist jack-holes when its been a whole 30 days and you arent decked out in full raid epics.

Here ya go. Release dates of servers throughout WoW. As you can see… FRESH servers was/is/will continue to be a real thing in vanilla and classic.

Btw, it will be even easier with 1.12 talents+gear.

I wasnt debating that they launched fresh servers, i remember them well. Im debating that you got a rag kill before the first reset. Thats what i want evidence of.

Amd y’all did this seven days after launch?

I’d also like to add a realm launch isnt even a fraction as crazy as game launch

I also don’t care I just find it 100% impossible. This right here is Icarus tellin me he glued all the feathers and is about to jump and I’m trying to explain to him that he still can’t fly.

All the luck to those that are trying

Sorry, my vanilla WoW pc is long gone. I do remember I was mostly in greens and had the blue mace from a rare spawn in Un’goro Crater… I was a lvl 57 Orc Rogue when I killed Rag.

It was a PUG raid to boot… just a bunch of hardcore players who knew what they were doing.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
And
That which is asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence

I don’t need you to believe that what I and many others did was real. We did it, we know it can be done, we will continue doing it and do it again.

The evidence that it can and has been done is all over the place.
OPEN YOUR EYES!
There is a reason why people complain about it.

Well considering the fastest private server kill on a blizzlike server I believe is 9 days I’m still skeptical.

I believe you, nevermind the naysayers. All hail Bahemoth and please like and subscribe

The only thing close to what you claim are private servers which rely heavily on accelerated/dynamic respawns of both mobs and herbs. The herbs being the important part of that equation since it allows for the consumable abuse that would make those runs even remotely possible.
You dont clear raids in quest greens.

I call BS. Joanna had the speed leveling record during vanilla at 116 hrs on a hunter. And he didn’t do it in one sitting, he logged off any time he was afk, and was most likely well rested while he played. Even if you play 24 hrs a day you would only have 168 hrs to hit 60, which most classes aren’t going to be able to pull off. Add to that the fact that you will be heavily fatigued doing this in one sitting, and will not be able to play nearly as efficiently as Joanna did. Also, you are going to have to farm hydraxian rep in order to summon Rag.

Not saying it can’t be done in classic, because it probably will, but it most certainly was not done during retail vanilla.

Private servers usually are missing a lot of quests+mobs and a lot of time is wasted due to bugs (like mobs+quest items) essentially making it take more time to get to 60 (if they don’t mess with spawn rate speeds).

Except nearly every private server has dynamic respawns including the big ones like lights hope and Kronos. Yet the newest server northdale launched June 23rd 2018 and ragnaros didn’t die until late night July 3rd 2018. So you’re telling me 14 years later with the stupid amount of knowledge players have now you were still faster then them?

This would have been big news back then. You don’t have so much as a screenshot or even a forum post bragging about it.
If this was done you and the rest of the raid would have bragged to the high heavens back then.
Yea. No. Not buying.

Joanna holds the fastest “recorded” speed leveling to 60. There were/are plenty of ways to get to 60 faster and I personally know people who have hit 60 in less than 4 days played time back in the day… they just didn’t care to share it with the world… and even if they did people would just say “photo-shopped” since the whole thing wasn’t frapsed.

Joanna did his run on an already established PvE server where he had basically no competition for any mobs.

Good luck hitting that time on a brand new pvp server.

So not only are they breaking the record by a full day but you mean to tell me you believe that it’s harder for them too

There is a different kind of passion and drive that occurs on real servers that you just won’t find on pservers, so yes… much faster.

You have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about lol have no proof to back up what you’re saying. Yeah I’m done posting here.
