I get if you’re going for a record–1st to 60 or first MC clear, but for normal citizens, why would one rush to 60?
There’s going to be a long time between MC and BWL being opened. If you’re 60 in week one, what’s to fill the time until BWL? Sure, you can farm every week, but is that what you were longing for when the idea of Classic was announced?
Perhaps one could focus on alts, but in that case, why not just take a leisurely to 60 one one’s main?
It’s like waiting for a nice dinner at a fancy restaurant and then shoving everything down your throat so you can get to dessert.
Of course, it’s your monthly fee, play how you like. I just don’t get why folks would want to be 60 after the first week and then sit waiting for new content for many months. I will enjoy the ride, read the quest text, go to random zone because I was sent there, and still arrive fully geared and ready for BWL or the next Phase when it arrives.

Normal players will not rush.
I have a reason that a few share but not the majority. I hate, Hate, HATE questing. HATE. I burn out on that long ago and Classic is HORRIBLE for me since it is the ultimate FETCH experience.
I will now mention I plan to dungeon cleave from 20-60.
No rush brother…enjoy the leveling, exploring, and having fun with friends in WoW again. That’s what I’m in a rush to do.

They require the sword of a thousand truths.
Because I want to. Why do you care if I rush to 60? What does it have to do with you? Does a young orphan die every time someone hits 60 in the first week? Or do you just have a superiority complex that cannot be fulfilled unless people do it your way?
I’m really interested. I don’t rag on casuals because it takes them 2-6 months to level up. They are playing the way they want to play, the only way it effects me is I’ll be ganking them for the lulz.
I am very interested in your answer. Tell me why should I stop playing the way I want to play?

rushing to get ahead and start the R14 grind.
Ahead to get BIS + gold for prof and be ready when phase 3 drops.
Because some of us have schedules that kick up in Sept, and so powering out a week of suffering makes the most sense to ‘keep up’ later on.
To avoid the Zerg and farm at 60 faster to lvl alts and stay competitive

We are giving everyone in our guild 3 months to get to 60 before our first raid. Not everyone is going to rush to 60. I’m going to enjoy the Journey.

So I can get a second class up there in levels as well before the second phase begins. I will be taking my time on the second though
I’m not a private server player
The only thing that I would love rushed is the damn start date! C’mon Blizz…we’re ready!

Additionally there is so much to do in Phase 1 most people won’t complete it.
As seen in my Phase One Completion Guide - Phase 1 Level 60 Completionist Guide - Now A Google Document!

This is so wholesome, I love it. It’s exactly the reason I want to play. Can’t wait to make new friends and help fellow adventurers. Really feel immersed in the world. I am going to take my time, smell some roses and feel the magic!
If you aren’t 60 before phase 2, and on a PvP server… G’luck.
Hey thats what our South Park Boars in safe territory are for!
If you ain’t first, you’re last.
