And the flip side of this is that if you delay content just to appeal to a smaller and smaller crowd of people who want to stay in the current phase people also end up quitting which also has an impact on the game as a whole.
Now there’s certainly a balancing point there and it might be unfortunate that in this case it’s not working in your favor but too bad.
Replace that with 3+ hours of generic leisure time then. How you choose to spend it is up to you. But I think the vast majority of people have had plenty of time, so if you aren’t ready for phase 2 by this point it really is your fault.
If so, they’ll be back when the next phase is released. After all the phases? Not so much.
Again, it’s not about my personal gameplay, but about the overall game. I can find plenty to do, and while I can hardly wait for BGs, I’ll wait. It’s better for the game as a whole.
And in the mean time the game is impacted by them not being there.
I disagree, i think we should just rip the bandage off now. At the end of the day classic is static and well known content. If people are going to quit when they finish it just get it over with. The people who are going to stay around indefinitely will do so regardless.
I think that if you don’t have at least 1/8 of your life to devote to leisure activities whether it’s classic or anything else you need to manage your time better.
A week has 168 hours in it, let’s assume a 40 hours of work, 56 hours of sleep assuming you get a healthy 8 hours every day, 10 hours for work commute, and 14 hours total acquiring and preparing food. That leaves you with 48 hours to do whatever you want with, easily allowing for well over 3-4 hours of classic a day with plenty of time left over.
yea I’m the one who made poor decisions lol. You see how twisted these people are? Their lives are so enveloped in getting that next purple, that they think they are the lucky ones.
I mean, the game has been out for 2 months. I could even understand if it had been out for a long time, but 2 months? Seriously. That’s pushing the pacing (and again, we’ve seen how well Blizz pacing works out from past experience).

People played like 14 hour in vanila, wow isnt know for people with families. Look at asmongold, esfand , heelvsbabyface, can you not see a connection…
Frankly, I play quite a bit. More than some, less than others. The point is, it’s not about the individual. Rushing content out has never worked in the past. It’s not good for the game.
The people who want to gogogo will be back when next phase releases (and I’d bet most of them won’t actually quit in the first place).
Hitting 60 by the time DM released would have required 4 hours a day assuming a 6 day played leveling time. Let’s say hitting 60 a couple weeks before phase 2 comes out, to give some farming time before it hits is a mere ~2-2.5 hours a day.
