Maybe. I recall you saying the same thing about hair color for void elves when it simply turned out they just hadn’t gotten their attention/focus to it yet.
The same is most likely the case for NE given Linxy said their focus are the AR right now.
Which turns out to be true since 9.1.5 is releasing in just over a week and only the 4 Legion AR are getting customizations.
And because of that plagiarism a second visual theme seems obvious / an immediate concern as well for Blood Elves where as arguably it wouldn’t be anything more than a listed request before
As far as I can see you have following clans within the customizations: Warsong, Frostwolf, Laughing Skull and another one I don’t remember. And as a bonus you have also the Blackrock/Blackhand Clan there and their unique eyes color (does thing ring a bell?). This is why you have also three separate Heritage Armors to their race with only the main one looking acceptable. What is not available to them are the Shattered Hand or Dragonmaw Orcs. At least the developers stood consistent with the skins which only cover the Warlord of Draenor Orcs although you could use them for the Orcs in this timeline as well.
The Heritage Armor reflects the Warsong Orcs with the other two just being unnecessary recolors. You can also get the Frostwolf leather and the Blackhand plate set from the Garrison which fits them more.
Yeah, but those are just basically cosmetics. People who want to have there fantasy as High Elf on Alliance doesn’t have those options, we got to mix and match with tier sets or other armor types to get as close as we want for the High Elf fantasy.
They got…
All the Blood Elf skins. Not just four, all of them.
All the Blood Elf hair colors.
A toggle to get rid of one of the few things that makes them Void Elves (tentacles) adding a bunch more hair options.
Ear sizes.
Eye colors.
Now they are demanding everything else Blood Elves have (hair and jewelry and even a third visual theme while Blood Elves only have a third of a single visual theme) plus more stuff on top of that.
Oh give this a god damn rest. Blood Elves did not lose there visual uniqueness. They still have there original Blood Elves customizations, to suit for the Blood Elven theme, something which the Void Elves do not have. Some of the customizations Blood Elves were given, were to suit for the High Elven theme, you know, the High Elves that did not originally joined the Blood Elves.
Speaking for myself, I couldn’t care less about jewelry, and as far as hair goes, I’m of the mind that one of two solutions is ideal.
Add the hairstyles High Elf NPCs use to Void Elves.
Update High Elf NPCs to use Void Elf hairstyles.
The goal either way is to let Void Elves look like High Elves. Either solution is satisfactory.
As far as a third visual theme goes, I’m not in that camp. I don’t think the Alliance has any other Thalassian races than Void Elves and High Elves. San’layn have a history of working with the Horde, and Dark Rangers are decidedly a Horde thing.
Outside of that? I want to see Entropic Embrace’s visual customizable, with a new racial that can be toggled on or off purely to have the visual effect active for as long as players want. I’d like to see some additions such as scars and war paints, particularly with void aesthetics to them (imagine a scar across the face, but it’s starcursed looking, or glowing purple).
The point of my original response was simple. Void Elves have received Skintones, Hair Colors, Faces, and Ear Length options. Not even new hairstyles. People have been shouting them down as, ‘done,’ since the first touch up they got, while complaining their own race(s) didn’t get enough brand new categories for customizations.
Void elves also retain their own main visual theme which Blood Elves do not that is the entire point in contention with Blood Elves losing all sense of visual uniqueness.
They go on about blood elves having gold eye and green options but would they trade blood elf visual uniqueness back to blood elves for two eye colors? probably not
No point arguing against them anymore. They spent so much time arguing against Alliance having High Elves, finally when Blizzard granted our request, they’re now kicking and screaming because they couldn’t get there own way.
