Red eyes for Blood Elves please! Along with deathly skin tones (could be from DK since you already took our hair).
A fang/claws toggle would also be sweet
I made this using WoWhead, they are Blood Elf NPC options that would be LOVELY to have, please and thank you! Hope this will be passed on for those of us who want the darker side of blood elves to be reflected!
Also, if red eyes are added, I’d like them accessible to DK! All DK as a matter of fact!
Are only you allowed to complain about cheap additions added to your favorite race or something? Nobody’s trying to stop you from asking for stuff, so how about you stop trying to ask me
I don’t understand this comment at all. Most of the Alliance want to be carried because there is nobody left to play with for the remnant players. All serious Alliance-players are already Horde.
Sorry I thought what was said was pointing out those “cheap additions” as you call them was an entirely second visual theme that cost BEs visual uniqueness. BEs did get cheap additions youre correct, where’s our “cheap second visual theme”? Oh we don’t have one? You do? When did Void Elves lose their own visual uniqueness or do they retain that on top of the visual theme that came at the expense of Blood Elves visual uniqueness?
Long before void elves was a thing, after thunder isle people suggested high elves become thunder forged some how to make them different from blood elves.
Black sclera, red iris/pupil. This is from the San’layn video but wanted to bring attention to it here as well. It’s more complex than pure red, but would be really awesome to see.
It’s still utterly baffling that we pointed out the eyes back in WoD, and all the issues with the male model back in WoD, and they’re magically all now fixed - and considered a bug - for Nightborne.
And technically, we weren’t asking for the fixes for the men in particular since WoD. We’ve been making fun of how bad they are since Vanilla, and especially more-so in TBC when the male blood elf model was changed to it’s more “modern” state.
People just want the anatomically incorrect scowl - nobody’s lips work like that - fixed at a minimum, at least in the short term. Hell, he can even still be scowling, just not with half his lips melted off.
It’s pretty much the same rig, why was it a bug for Nightborne? This’d be like if they only fixed the duckface issue with the Thalassian models for just Void Elves.
I don’t think anybody reasonable cares if it takes time, but it’s getting exhausting having Alliance requests wind up on the Horde (pst; Vulpera used to not have tails), and this is a pretty nasty one. Even some acknowledgement that it’s been passed up would be something.
Despite the fact Void Elves got to skip into the time Blizzard said was focused on core races? And this resulted in the loss of visual uniqueness of Blood Elves to give Void Elves a second visual theme, impactful options BEs never got by the way which makes the non impactful cheap options added like jewelry locked to only women so much more apparent that that’s all we got.
At the very least we have NB who are Highborne and it would be great if you didn’t once again allow a Horde races theme to be copied because I expect the non answer responses Blood Elves have received on the issue to be the same in that scenario, and I hope Blizzard continues to emphasize NEs nature themes while recognizing NB are entitled to better represent their own theme than NEs who would better benefit on playing into their own main theme.
“but why you are asking for this only now that NB is getting fixed?” someone posted in this thread other day. We have been asking since wod, many threads were made on the forums, on mmo champion, twitter… It is nothing new.
But now horde has nelves, now all the issues like face shape, posture, eye shape and proportions are a real problem, and must be fixed… but only for horde. They even fixed the puffy cheeks for NB female, a problem they created for female night elves in wod.
There’s also been a lot less outcry because of a lack of morale, and a dip in the Alliance population. Seen quite a few people talking about it on other websites because they aren’t subbed to WoW anymore because of the morale issues.
Fixing this would actually likely be a huge boon to esteem.
Excuse me, I literally brough the issue of the awful male Nelf geometry for both face and body in this thread first.
You are reaching now, dear. No, the “faction bias” victim complex will NOT give you any kind of extra support, quite the contrary as a matter of fact. I think NONE of us have ever said the actual issues with the Nelf model can´t be fixed, the opposite actually.
And this how does match her “but Hordies are against MUH Nelf fixes, I´m such a second rate poor wittle victim customer!!” BS agenda, hmm?
Not at all may I add. She can complain over NB fans opposing some of her HB customization ideas at the most, but honest to god to try and imply we Hordies are deliberately trying to oppose the fixes on the Nelf model is dishonest and more than a little offensive.
Some Alliance players complain we Hordies aren´t “nice”. Well maybe if they didn´t try to paint us as the bad guys first we could feel more endearment and empathy to their plight for starters.
Technically this is both true and false… Firstly, the Highborne are what was considered the upperclass nobility of the Night Elf race. Though what truest distinguished Highborne from ordinary Night Elves was their affinity to the arcane. All highborne were born with an innate talent for using arcane magic. After the war of the ancients the Highborne became three different new races, High Elves, Nightborne, and Naga… though some remained as they were Highborne. High Elves came from exposure to the sun well. Naga were formed from old god corruption. Nightborne from 10,000 years of exposure to raw arcane power within their sealed off city.
So… technically a different race via mutation… but technically still the same race too…
