Leaning into the normal Draenei shaman/hunter/monk/mage over the light classes side for custmization would be a good step. With nature, tech and arcane themes. After all, if they aren’t lightforged yet, they must like the light just, not that much.
I find that to be a good thing. I mean weren’t people saying “those wanting high elves on alliance are an incredibly minuscule group, blizzard won’t listen to em”? You don’t necessarily need a majority vote on something.
It’s beneficial to cast a wide net because then you’re bound to get something you want.
Look at the Nightborne players for instance, they didn’t focus on only wanting a remodel of the player model, or a focus on only fixing the faces, they also brought up the hand glows 1 out of 3 those ended up being implemented now.
Whereas had they stayed the course with the other two it may have continued to be met with silence as they are now.
So it’s good that so many blood elf fans have and share all the different ideas they have for blizzard. Let’s them basically have a buffet of what to implement onto the race.
Yes. The posting goal moved every time as well. First they will never do it, then they brought in the fair skin options and it all was about pure blood elves have blond hairs and how people can’t be this - after that phase it was all about mutations and how inferior they are and nowadays its about RP-options.
Next time it’s about “premium player because we were first” when the character creator gets overhauled.
The Nightborne were in a very sad state but luckily they have become something worth playing again.
Just a reminder that:
Male night elf faces still “bugged”.
Night elf ,male and female posture isn’t fixed.
Night elves still have bug eyes instead of the narrow eyes they used to have in vanilla.
Night elves are still in need of proper highborne representation. We need unique Highborne customisations unlocked through a chain quest or you could make Eldre’thalas highborne a subrace for nelves.
They receiving unique options or being a subrace, any of these suggestions works for me. I just don’t want them to be ignored anymore.
Don’t pretend Eldre’thalas highborne don’t exist next time you work on Ne customisations, i beg you.
There are some obvious options Night elves should receive as their Highborne unique stuff.
. Purple, pink, lavender eyes.
. Glowing face markings like Azshara.
. Arcane, magic themed face markings and tattoos. (Not the same as nightborne obviously).
. Regal hairstyles.
. Additional body type, less muscular for male and female.
. Make up (for both genders, cause why not?)
. Jewelry.
. Azshara blue skin tone.

Would love if they fixed it with a scowl toggle or by adding non scowl versions of the faces so those few of us who like it can keep it too.

Trolls however are lacking in beards and it’s weird how much media and art blizzard creates showing us with facial hair and then having the player not have access to any!

Not saying it’s a bad thing, just that it makes things complicated, and most of the options step on somebody’s toes. I feel like some people are way too optimistic about how much will be given out compared to the track record so far.
Isn’t that kind of part of the wanting the legion models? And from what I’ve seen it’s a bit of a lame imitation of the legion hands…
I’m not telling anyone not to ask for what they want, just that there’s nothing in the story that screams out this is something blood elves should have. (Like I think a lot of the requests listed are more blood elf adjacent, like the undead options, so far the story doesn’t make the society as a whole sound like it is something they’re after, so I feel like a lot would be blood elf bodies but more in common with the forsaken in the story. This is NOT saying it shouldn’t happen, just that it would feel like a butt pull on Blizz’s part to make up for giving away their uniqueness to void elves)
We’ve got the awesome stuff that Ariel brings up, which I feel like would have been amazing for blood elves before the void elves got more. As those options expand the blood elves and explore more themes of their culture, but I think there’s now an expectation brought about by void elves that blood elves need something more than expansion of their culture (especially with how eager blizz has been to spread that around to Alliance too) and give them a new look that is all their own.
I kind of agree with you, i can understand why you think this way, but at the same time, night elf highborne fans got nothing in the first run… literally nothing. Me and you, we are in the same situation tbh. You don’t have beards, i don’t have highborne customisations…
This is so true, I still can’t believe how many customization options Night Elves have and more specifically female Night Elves but still ask for more.
This always gets a like from me because a lot of males of different races decent facial hair options and it bugs me.

Finished editing this thread with a lot of new suggestions given to it, examples. And also many more suggestions for Draenei customizatio now, not just lightforged. As well as some stuff for both.
Also used the preview tool so the post doesn’t look as gigantic and it’s easier to read.
Blood Elves should be able to interchange eye color more, if one wanted to see their green eyes fade back to blue, or into golden. Where it would be one blue and one green, or one golden and one green.
