Yeah those are the other ones that always get thrown out, more Light options or the Fel Elves that sided with Kael somehow coming back.
I probably wouldn’t use the Fel options ideas myself but it does cover what I would like to see in terms of fairness in something of equal value being returned to Blood Elves to allow options outside of the main visual theme they fulfill.
I mean, fairness is subjective. I don’t care who has more visual themes/options, I just want as many as possible to be reflected where customizations can allow. It won’t bother me that Blood Elves could have four visual options as opposed to Void Elves having two. I just want people to be happy being able to use the options they want.
While it’s nice of you to say I’m not looking for Blood Elves to have that many and I doubt we will seeing as we can’t even get a second set of options to match what was done for Void Elves at time when core races were said to be the focus.
My favorite option will always be the Velonara route to justify that set of RP tools but again it could be any of the above mentioned and that’s fine. Afterwards in regards to the Thalassian Elves mostly just wanting exclusive options for BEs main visual theme and mirroring that exclusive options for Void Elves main visual theme.
Care to explain why you still try this hard to antagonize the Void Elf players? I have been reading the past days the posts and to be honest with you, it’s no surprise things escalated the way it happened revolving you.
How about stepping down and just accept things as they are now? Where do you get the permanent energy to viciously attack people at their cost of happiness? Give it a rest already.
Honestly, because Dark Rangers are Undead Elves. And since there is also Kael’dorei Dark Rangers too, does that mean Night Elves should have access to Dark Rangers too.
I feel that any options High Elf NPCs use should be available to Void Elves, but High Elf NPCs should not use any new options given to Void Elves in future customization passes (or even the last one, I don’t think any High Elf NPCs were updated for the new hairstyles or jewelry, and any future High Elf NPCs shouldn’t).
Yeah, you have a point there. But… Honestly, the only way I’ll accept Dark Ranger customisations is if they are given the customisations for the Undead. But knowing Blizzard ofcourse, isn’t going to just straight up add another model to the Undead for Dark Rangers customisations to exist on them.
But I rather the Undead receive the Dark Ranger customisations, not the Blood Elves.
I mean, they kind of do? Forsaken have the skin colors, the red eyes, etc… they’re not just elves. I think the only way we’re getting Dark Rangers/San’layn is as customizations on Blood Elves, kind of like how the only way we got High Elves were customizations on Void Elves.
I disagree. The options can as easily work for San’layn, whom existed across multiple classes.
I’m not sure what direction they’ll take belves but I think the only real way to get get the “corrupt” elves of fel and undead is bundled together in a separate allied race. I honestly don’t think they will be adding fel or undead options to Blood Elves.
San’layn are Death Knights, Mages, Priest (Shadow), Rogues and Warriors. Although more classes accessed by the San’layn than the Dark Rangers, but still only selective.
Honestly though, San’layn and Dark Rangers customisations wouldn’t even work at all.
I’m still confused as why who you described is toxic and why you believe them to be a problem? What trait would you say you were describing as toxic? Seems a good time to ask since you started your sentence with care to explain.
You’re claiming toxicity of a staff member, and citing a trait about them as if painting a picture of that toxicity, and then are unwilling to expand upon it I wonder why?
Perhaps Tarrok really got the answer correct then.
I guess from that lens it’s almost comical that you have all this energy for perceived slights of “Void Elf players” but then so freely make statements like this
Disagreements over pixel elves are one thing but…
As to your question Void Elves were given a second visual theme at the expense of of their core parent race counterpart, and I do feel strongly that the same energy be returned to Blood Elves to allow them a set of RP tools.
Why not? Dark Rangers and San’layn exist and they’re in the Horde (well, San’layn is a bit questionable but we saw them attempt to join the Horde and I could see them doing so again). If Blizzard wants to implement a system where customizations are locked behind certain class options to expand on racial fantasy and give additional themes options they might not otherwise have (Void Elf Paladins as High Elves), I’m all for it, but I don’t think that should be a barrier from adding new themes either.
Its not really a Stawman though. He’s right. Void Elves are two very distinct races in one now: Void Elves, and High Elves.
Blood Elves, by comparison, are a single race. You could argue they also encompass High Elves, but that’s not terribly distinctive from Blood Elves. There’s no reason not to add Dark Ranger/San’layn themes and options to Blood Elves.
They’re banshee that reclaimed their elven bodies or more recently raised elves. They’re not that special.
We’ve only been exposed to a few types of them, hunter, rogue, warden but there isn’t a greatly compelling reason they couldn’t be other classes.
They’ve just generally been represented by former elves serving under Sylvanas when she was alive. And yeah that’s surely the main fantasy of dark rangers, but again there isn’t a compelling reason they couldn’t be other things.
Are the Forsaken just human to you?
Or any they a different race?
Dark Rangers is the name we’ve been given but all they are is undead elves.
I do not see a great difference between the requests for high elves and dark rangers.
The original lore for their following of the shadows was that the light rejected them. Admittedly that may have changed with the legion shadow priest stuff. Not sure if it was retconed.
As for the light, yes priests can still be taught, but the cases of paladins we have seen was because these were strongly believer paladins in life which allowed the light to bypass the issue.
