Why the lack of Customization?

Oh I know helfers ask for paladins and whatnot. But realistically Blizz is never ever going to implement them so that doesn’t matter.

I disagree with Mag on that front, I think thats clear for all, Mag included, and thats okay not everyone has to agree on everything, I think a secondary theme for RP purposes the way VEs have their RP tools is what is needed in addition to some aspects of the main BE theme being unique to BEs the way VEs have RP tools and their own unique themed options.

They are I would say, I think pixel elves and stuff is just that, Mags always stood up for what’s right when the threads have had really poor turns, the fact I dislike their stance on a secondary visual theme isn’t relevant to that I suppose.

I was someone that wanted an entirely separate High Elf AR and I know that ain’t happening. People gotta let go at some point, compromises are what Blizzard are working with and that’s alright.

Anyways,
So, can we fix the male night elf faces too?
If it was a bug for nightborne, it was a bug for them too. Can we actually have half our faces useable?

Imgur

This never made anatomical sense and the face is still old man trucker grouchy with it fixed for those who want to look like that.

I have said it before and I’ll say it again and again but even though I’m against Void Elf Paladins, I kind of wish they were a thing because that would open so many doors to class/race combinations I want that don’t exist currently.

Very much this I have to say

They aren’t “identical” actually. as we see there’s marks on both sides. That icon is at most the most you can show for belves with any paint, and is literally called camouflage as a hunter ability, with green paint…under plants.

That icon is not a good argument.

I’d punch a helfer if they ever made us waste another race slot with a third elf.

I’d be fine with “void knights” if paladins weren’t paladins and were more like “holy soldier” as an umbrella term.

As it stands, I like to preserve the paladin class identity. Trolls already hurt it enough.

Tell them that… after the absurd stuff I witness since BfA´s pre-patch, I don´t discard stupid stuff can be implemented.

also Mag forgetting this:

Looks positively WAAAY more similar to this:

See the two sides of the face getting the paint while the middle stays “clean”? That´s NOT how Alleria looks right now.

Now let me show you WHO are sporting something quite similar to this design:

It´s hilarious… both “elves” sides of the faction fence fighting for the warpaint and Orcs appropiated it since January and nobody raised any issue, lul.

yes because a farstrider trying to blend in with their forest is going to wear red right

you couldnt show orcs, trolls or tauren tatting/war painting it up in WoW until shadowlands either. your logic is a joke

Don’t worry, the actual helfer group (which I consider myself a part of tyvm), are very content with what’s been given so far. Hence why pretty much all High Elf focused threads are dead.

Only things we’re cleaning up for are essentially to get Alleria’s look as options and that’s it (for males and females!).

Believe it or not we stopped getting along after normal hair colors were announced and I supported Void Elves getting white, black and brown because they had already gotten the blondes, red and orange and ever since we haven’t gotten along, add in them attacking pretty much anyone wanting stuff like tattoos for Void Elves or San’layn customizations for Blood Elves and it’s like I’m not sure it’s possible for me to see them as someone that stands up for what’s right.

I always thought that not having something like the Alliance or Horde Pandaren sigil as earrings was a missed opportunity, may be a small thing but was something I really wanted.

And there is actually no lore on farstriders getting tattoos so calling that is a misnomer.

What happened was they where clearly Celtic in WC2, (No Arcane Magic, used Druids and Runestones, lived in the forest) but where changed to be more Indo-Arabic (Hookahs/Throw Pillows/Delicate Drapes/Peaking Archways) and where shown with Runes based of Sanskrit on the BC box.

People only started requesting them in the High Elf threads because it was a great way to differentiate them from Blood Elves using something they don’t have.

I guess it’s both lol. Good find.

That is more in line with the current designs of Blood Elves IMO. Goes with both the Indo-Arabic theme and the “Masters of Magic” theme of Blood Elves.

Would this be a separate option like orcs have? And would the runes glow underneath?

I like layers.

Could the be combined into “Big Bold Runes” like Rommath?

(Just throwing ideas)

I’m more on the subrace concept now anyways now that the ice is broken and “races” can be a mix of groups/themes.

Literally just camo paint…

I’m just going to say this, we need to accept that people are individuals and there are no true hard-set groups on the subjects.

Besides, the Anti/Pro thing is over.

Also, I’m out of likes again… I hate this like allowance!

I mean Fen… as I graphically DEMOSTRATED in my previous posts, the “WC II” style? Yeah, nowadays is partr of the ORC customizations. That was a firm L for the hardcore WC II Helf team.

Right now any average player that sees that warpaint design won´t say “oh!! the WC2 Helf style!!”… they are going to say “ORC WARPAINT!!”. And the very idea of any ubber hardcore Helfer trying to emulate the looks of an ORC is /ROFL… that´s not even peak irony, that´s irony that broke the ceiling and it´s on it´s way towards the center of the Milkyway…

I definitely like this.

I do think it’s okay for the alliance to have helves as a sub race given how much of our gameplay they have occupied (got more lore than half our races…)

And I also think velves should be able to emulate alleria.

I never liked how faction leaders could have stuff players can’t. (Other than faces, faces being original is of course a good thing).

Ok this is very true, and something I wish changed as well, but it’s too easy to get pulled back into that, woops, I’ll be better about it going forward! :sob:

Agree, I came from playing Maplestory where players could literally wear Bosses as helmets. Being able to emulate heroes/monsters has always been a love of mine in games.

I also believe it’s a simple matter of being a lost ‘battle’ in the first place when someone is trying to stop others from getting customization options that is literally on their own current faction leader.

I mean… my facial scars ala Lor´themar for when, Blizzard?

Heck, look at thge kind of jewerly he uses… nothing sexualizing nor outrageous. Simple rings on the ears -same as my toon rofl- and an application to hold his hair (ponytails and braids) and his beard. Why aren´t male Blood elf PCs using THIS?!?
