Omg I just realized something!! I’m doing the nightfallen rep on my Druid right, and when I use the masquerade disguise in suramar, your cat forms turns into a mana saber!! All your other forms have an ethereal glow to it but man they’re just teasing me with this mana saber form xD please blizz nightborne druids?
I think that was some of what I recalled yes! I remember I liked it because Pandaren playing up one of their selling points of starting neutral and choosing a faction seems cool.
giving velves the actual culture and heritage of blood elves is as dumb as giving void themes to blood elves. if they want to look like an easter egg those tens of alliance players are now catered for, no more holding back void customization for them blood elves need things unique to them and that their players have been asking for as long as orcs with tattoos/war paint
Honest talk, I’m all for both races getting tattoos and paint, but I hope they are made different patterns, because I dislike they just having the same.
If they are the same designs however, I hope they are at least different colours, with cold colorus going to the velves and hot colours to the belves.
Difference is, Void elves are actual high/blood elves transformed, so that heritage applies to them as well. Meanwhile void is something the belves rejected and never got to that point.
Blood Elves are High Elves and its their main theme, not a secondary theme for RP tools, they should be better at portraying their own visual thematics than Void Elves for RP tool purposes.
And this is the issue isn’t it because at the expense of visual uniqueness the AR continues to expect to benefit for any addition to the main visual theme of the Blood Elves, at some point extending grace goes too far and BE fans / players should be able to better portray their race than the AR who has continually benefitted at the expense of BE visual uniqueness.
Is it though? because as I’ve said before, Blood elves changed their visuals A LOT when they decided to become blood elves. It was a huge cultural change that was quite visible in WC3 and was intentional as part of the races evolution.
High elves became blood elves, but pretending that didn’t come with cultural changes but being a void elf did is plain disingenuous but also false.
Void elves meanwhile benefit because the minority that remained as high elves with the same old customs and visual identity decided to stay in the alliance. This means they can work as a sub-race through customization much like sand trolls.
This is a reality of lore, not a slight against Blood elves.
This is where a second theme for Blood Elves should come in because the normal one has been shared between Blood Elves and Void Elves and since Void Elves have the void theme paired with the normal theme we could have the San’layn theme but you and Mag both have been against that despite the fact Blizzard has already shown they are willing to give normal options to both races.
To be frank, it’s also a might irrelevant since Blizzard, in their all mighty genius, made Void Elves directly related to the Blood Elves. So if they had tattoos when they were Blood Elves, they’d have tattoos as Void Elves.
It’s not even a matter of “you guys are stealing”, it’s directly how Blizzard implemented the dumb elves.
The reach they expect us to believe is that Farstriders loyal to Quel’Thalas are part of the randoms who decided to study the void?
Wasn’t there discussion before on having rangers is one thing but Farstriders are very specific? I recall it but idk when or what thread
Right so then you’d have to prove that Farstriders were part of that, because Farstriders are a very specific organization and you’re claiming they’re studying the void?
