Might be a situation where it’s a glaive and glaives are only available to DHs.
Example, the strong racial flavored glaive from the Darkshore Warfront being Demon Hunter only and not for NE in generals usage.

Considering this statement was made
With this quote in particular focus
I’m sure the future of character customization will be bright, not just for Alleria’s brethren but for everyone!
I’d like to re-affirm the desire for Void Elves (both male and female!) to get customization options to further emulate Alleria’s looks!

It was classified as a sword, though it indeed seemed like a glaive. Either way NPCs use it as a sword.
The whole glaive thing is such a clownshow too though. Maybe it’s time the weapon opens to other classes (or at least for Nelves as I’ve said before)
Still, might be a classification for NPC usage
Or it’s a temporary removal to fix something while on the PTR .
Also, daily request to look like a true Void Elf.

I wouldn’t pay them much attention, it’s frustrating to see those comments for sure though. But no way at all Blizzard will implement San’layn on Alliance, I find it’s mainly said to get a reaction from others when things like that are suggested.
Ignoring/scrolling past such suggestions would be the best policy imo.
I share these feelings, ironic that I’ve moved to FFXIV and now they’re finally giving High Elf customizations on Alliance. Still, the state of the game hasn’t changed much which was the real driving factor for me to switch over to another MMO. Until that happens I’ll be stepping away as well.
Overall I hope they vastly improve the additions to character customization for all races.
Kyriani has done the pleasure of compiling several instances of how Blizzard sees these player customization options:
From Game Director Ion Hazikostas:
I think we are planning on just broadly incorporating the range of character customization options for NPCs as well as players just across the world. I think in some ways, frankly, it’s a bit of a retcon. Like we’re not going to change existing named established characters and make them look different. But walking around Stormwind or around other parts of the world, you will see guards and random civilians that have these looks as if they’ve been there all along.
letting people express themselves as their avatars with the greatest diversity possible in the game world.
From Technical director Frank Kowalski:
The goal is for players to customize their characters the way they want , rather than the outdated and limited character customization World of Warcraft’s offered so far.
From the Blizzard website:
With hundreds of new additions with thousands of new combinations, Shadowlands’ new character customization options will help you better create the characters you envision in your mind.
I hope to see these followed through in the coming months/years, as well as more encompassing changes to the game overall.
The off setting negative look is really so good.
I wonder just how many of us are just here on borrowed time. Actually gone just posting for the last request to see if they can follow through for a future rather than being currently into the game.
I never cared for stuff like this personally so Void Elves could have it or it could be shared between Blood Elves and Void Elves since others seem to like it even if I don’t.
Same for this.
And this, lol.
Quite a lot I feel.
The Mythic raiding Alliance team I was part of also has pretty much fallen apart from what I’ve heard from my friend. This probably is the lowest point WoW’s ever been in.
My friend is sticking through but I feel like we’re in that moment where the Titanic is sinking and those quartet peeps kept playing their music.
I love this thought process, that’s how I see it. This thought process too
I honestly don’t care if someone else is made happy. as long as the Blood elves get what they ask for.
That’s why I’m never opposing what anyone wants added to any race.
Doesn’t really stop the tail request.
Nor does it matter. They said no to high elves several times far more directly than that.
Only folk who somehow think all Worgen are furries are against optional tails it seems.
Some things never change…this isn’t even supposed to be a high elf thread.
Would be nice if they’d tell us void elf “void” options folk that here.
Or fix up the tentacle toggle to clean up holes and add tentacles to the hairstyles without.
Doesn’t hurt that the main person pushing that has on two occasions on the Forums admitted they’re doing it out of spite.
And their Twitter tells quite the story too.
I’d just say disregard them.
It’s good to point out in that link it only mentions Genn as not having a tail, not that all Worgen don’t have tails.
It’s always been requested as an optional cosmetic to Worgen so I would not take that tweet as a definite “no” anyway.
Not even for a tattoo with the same effect as this one? The effect is better visible in the game.
Also, make the Wings and other Dark-naaru-like bits customizations for void elves.
They do seem like they should be more part of our bodies than the armor. As t was intended as a design for all of us to wear anyway.
Either that, or make a cape item that has the wings model for transmog.
Nah, I have never been a fan of tattoos on myself in real life or in game and I don’t use them on any of my characters that have them available to use, however I’m not against them like against them just because they aren’t my thing personally.
I personally think it would be a mistake to make it demon hunter exclusive - nightborne can’t even be demon hunters. They’re NB racial weapons and should at least be made available to use for every class the NB can be.
Yeah and the Night Elves glaives from the WF were NE racial weapons locked to DH only. Hopefully it’s just a temporary removal for NB but I’ve no faith
Imagine if Night elves could use glaives as throwing weapons, the actual dream.
Man, that really sucks. They should really revert that change for night elves as well. It’s just a bad move for any racial weapons to be class exclusive. I hope they decide against it for the arcblade, it would be really cool to see it as a two hander as well as a one hander so warriors, mages, surv hunter and such can still use it, I think it would fit their class very well still.
Just wanted to toss up a few things my brother and I keep running into far as suggestions.
Add in a solo option for Legion invasions.
Add in more Heirloom Map Flight Path items for all expansions. Just makes life easier.
Bring back the Flight whistle and if possible make it usable (after flying is acquired) in all zones old and new.
Much like with the upcoming ability to send Anima and such to alts, add in options for the few expansions that use similar resource systems (WoD, Legion, BfA) so we can trade such things. I know some of those expacs have limited trading of such materials but allow the option for all the currencies of that nature.
Allow us to play in an expansion to 60 through Chromie Time, and potentially to stay there to finish an expansion with the challenge of being “at level” for it.
Like you did with the Shoulder transmog let us do that with the glove, bracer, and boot transmogs.
Thank you.
