As someone whos favorite cosmic force is the Void, I will say that I personally do advocate for Void Elves getting more colored options to represent all Void color examples we’ve seen.
That doesn’t however mean that I advocate the colors being Void Elf exclusive. I think that, in the case of Red for example, Blood Elves and Death Knights in general, have valid claims to the color too.
Also I just noticed, if people are typing it obscures the button to expand the typing window to full screen…
Yeah. I’ve always wanted San’layn and desire for them to be playable on the faction I enjoy, which is Horde, though at this point I just wish we could go neutral. I don’t think I’ll ever get my wish in that regard though. (Again, this would be an option for people who want it, and there could be a ‘faction mode’ where people would NEVER be grouped with neutrals.)
Lol, don’t take it too personally every time I interact with that person they always say I’m the unpleasant or awful one so I think the problem is them not other people.
Tentacles going red are just corruption. Actual “void san’layn” aren’t a thing.
The only thing needed are the ears, since red eyes are a given for other reasons.
It’s like how you can use Wildhammer customization on a dwarf that isn’t a Wildhammer dwarf. So, if this is an attempt at a gotcha, it really really isn’t.
If we go for colors alone, then Belves need orange, silver and pink eyes too (arcane).
I repeat: the idea magical sources were linked to some specific cosmical energy went out of the window in Shadowlands with mint green eyed Maldraxxi and Silver eyed Kyrians.
The problem is not about asking for the colors per se…is asking for them using a combination with a theme Horde players have asked for since forever (undead thalassian elf models) and trying to smuggle them as something that doesn´t even exist in the game (sorry NOT sorry, not real red eyed San´layns in-game). The fact that person literally demandsa copy-paste is telling too, cause guess what?
He only wants “light” stuff for the Belves so they become the nice fodder to their Velves (I´m quite sure of it, I remember lauging when he tried to oppose his Helfer buddies from getting playable Velf Paladins with Golden eyes and all). And I call that BS… if he acted in actual GOOd faith he would AT LEAST be opened to the idea of a different design or a different color, ffs.
Lol, thanks but I hate to say it but I’m glad I’m not like that anymore, far too many people take advantage of kindness then are quick to turn on you as soon as you disagree with them or want something different from them.
Man, I got a free render coming soon, and I’m actually now torn between having my very pink void elf getting an update on his models with the tentacles and star cursed skin, or just asking if they’d swap out the ears on a void elf model and add red eyes to show that it takes so little effort.
I’ve been here for 10 years.
Absolutely nothing but elf-gatekeeping has caused stuff like this to happen before.
Excuse me, silver eyed NB are ARCANE masters, so according to your own theory, it does fit. Their tattoos are silver, their “mana hands” are silver, etc. Ergo: silver = arcane, Belves are too master of arcane, so Belves deserve silver eyes, period.
Glad to see you recognize rando aesthetics are a good enough justification to demand stuff.
That would be Velves, but if anything can be used as an excuse then Tempest Keep had pink everywhere and the Ashes of A´lar have pink, so give us pink too cause reasons.
Heck, as I told in the Belf thread: give ALL the races availability to ALL the freaking colors of the rainbow, after all hair color as a measure of “visual uniqueness” will fly out of the window in 9.1.5… I want a pink hair for my Sunwalker Tauren.
If we´re gonna use headcanons and Bs reasonings, then let´s not go halfway: let´s go ALL the way, i´m sure Human players would love to use more exotic colors on their toons and so on.
Even if I disagree with some on undead Elf option placement I agree with the Farstrider tattoo exclusivity for BEs and it’s stuff like that that I think is important focusing on where we agree
My apologizes, I suppose I should have specified that my reasoning for posting those images was to specifically visualize some of the various colors that Void has appeared as and therefore colors Void Elves could be allowed access to.
As for Blood Elves, they already have access to some of them albeit through alternative forces like the Fel and Arcane. In terms of Red for Blood Elves, that would be obtainable through their use of Blood magic. Once they’ve begun utilizing it enough, they would eventually acquire a representative hue in their eyes.
I really do wonder about nelves now though especially with NB getting less angy face options.
NB now have more face options, jewelry, more tattoos inc, eye options, etc.
NE were the first to arrive and have only 9 faces that are mostly all uggo. Even the first face that used to be semi neutral and sort of sassy is just grumpy. I wouldn’t care if it felt even, but NB are the prettier, more enticing race on an already “winning” faction disparity.
i dont think it works like that. blood isnt a magic school like arcane, void or fel. its blood. you need a source of it, whether its cutting yourself or collecting it elsewhere, if thats how it worked their eyes would be red because their body is full of…blood. some can bend blood(DKs) others do rituals with it. but i dont see how enchanting blood into a golem can change your eye color
if you put blood into a crystal it doesnt irradiate the immediate enviornment with ‘blood radiation’ turning your eyes red
