The fact that even Anduin looks like is made out of steroids is amazing.
I won’t “thank” any player. Blizz took a cheaper option, don’t apologize for a company.
This Illidan, look how different they look. Like WTF is that thing on the males legs.

The entire point is that you said both are different races (nelves and nb) but belves and velves are a neutral race, implying horde lost in that exchange. But our side of the neutral is objectively worse so the implication doesn’t hold.
I mean, that doesn’t address my point though. The VE/BE thing isn’t unique in the idea of it taking options from their base race. I’ve felt like that since the beginning when they announced the concept in Legion.
Aka, this isn’t making me depressed because I’m already depressed and defeated just by the concept of ARs itself. But hey, I get to have a cute pixie cut and HD horns that aren’t available to my base race…that’s a total win right?
I am so glad the Void Elf Discord and the other San’layn one doesn’t ban people for having differing opinions on what constitutes as a void aesthetic, nor what faction x subrace should be playable on.
I swear, if it’s not attached to a faction already, it’s like everything needs to be Horde because the loudest people who want x subrace cries about it, and refuses to think of literally any other plausibilites, or how certain scenarios can work to spread more concepts out between two groups, or to cover as much ground as possible with customization for a parent.
Still not trolling by the way.
Trolling would just be me posting Count Drac going “bleh bleh bleh” with an Alliance tabard. Which I’ll probably do later and share with friends on Discord who can actually debate the San’layn story without saying people who present another point of view with actual references are a “troll”.
You can feel this way and that’s fine with me, I just feel personally Horde have been shafted in the elf exchange and it’s not cool.
Horde lost out in general with the whole elf exchange we had to share our number one races model with Alliance as well as most of the customizations and we got a botched Night Elf model for Nightborne not even the actual Nightborne model or the actual Night Elf model but a botched one and we have got nothing in return for it so.
Ethereals is a given considering the connection with the Locus Walker… see? a way to give the Void Elves relevance without bringing the Belves, Quel´Thalas nor the Sunwell to the table.
I swear to God sometimes I feel I even try harder than some of them… no seriously, is as If I cared more than them about their own freaking fav race, sheeesh.
Dear, I´m NOT acting in behalf of Blizzard. I CALLED THIS WAS GONNA HAPPEN MONTHS AGO!!!, so bad some of the people on your side of the fence refused to even consider my point and literally ignored it cause “what did I knew about MUH Blizz?”.
Gal, I know how it feels. I literally got nothing of what I wanted for my Belf main. Not scars. Nor runic scarifications.
Just a bunch of stuff people has tried to gaslight me into “liking it”. So yes, I can relate to the bitterness. Now add to that a decade of posts adding insult to injury with the “muh Velf DH!!” “muh Silvermoon!!!” “MUH WC2!!!” “Belves don´t beloong in the Horde, pl0x Blizz fix cause MUH Quel´Thalas!!” etc.
Also, can we stop using the pre-transformation model as a reference?
Like, yeah. That’s a Night Elf.
We’re talking about what Illidan actually is now. Not in a flashback dungeon.
I swear, some of the stretches people do to argue against complaints the Alliance have is stuff I’d see from a highschooler going “gotcha” in a debate class.
Haha I swear it’s not as bad as it seems. I’m predicting it’ll get worse but I can handle it. No one is bothering me right out out of this place. I’ve had scuffles and obviously do not like several here on the forums, and dealt with friend betrayal from a -hater I thought was a decent person but turned out to be horrid, but that’s not so bad. My experience hasn’t been nearly as bad as some.
There was ONE time though years ago where someone actually hated the fact that I play vampires so much, that they took it out of the game itself and tried getting me fired from my job by writing fake review. They also said my real name in game. I’d brought up the harassment of my guild in a Facebook group with names blotted out to make people aware of the situation and that this group of people were toy-spamming and T-bagging our characters to disrupt roleplay, and that it wasn’t our fault, they were harassing.
Come to find out…? Yeah he was in that group. So he saw my name. I had my employer on my facebook too.
So you can imagine how many life lessons I learned from that experience. It wasn’t fun. I was like… what… 19/20? That was a long time ago. 2016, there it is. I keep record of a LOT of things via imgur, because I ran a guild… so many stories.
No one in these forums, not even the friendship-betrayer, will ever be that bad simply by the scuffles and snappings we have here. Even the people I have on ignore, and even the people who have gone out of their way to REALLY insult me.
(that’s not a challenge btw people, leave me be even if you hate me. Keep it to the forums.)
Moral of this story:
Don’t… ever… have your place of work on your facebook page.
Make sure your friends aren’t public.
Just…be careful in general.
If you’re going to hate someone? Don’t literally try to get them fired from their job with a slander review for not playing the way you want. (in my case, because I RP vampires. Yep, it is in fact as ridiculous as it sounds.)
Also, at least it turned my skin into stone (well, somewhat. I do get angry easily.). Also why I’m much meaner these days than I was. MUCH meaner.
Edit: Oh and no, I didn’t get fired. They didn’t believe the cyberbully. I didn’t find out about it until months later anyway, and they thought it was so absurd that they disregarded it. Wish someone told me at the time though…
Look at the neck. is not bulged up, legs aren’t bloated like balloons, face is not streched and more square, arms on illidan are shorter and they are more uniform in musculature, Illidan is shorter which means he’s in general better proportionate. Yes they are very different.
Yeah, like I’m largely happy that they are touching the customization UI and decoupling assets to make it easier to implement things in the future…but the way they released races with these new assets and how inconsistent they are with them is off putting.
Like there’s a lot of inconsistencies. So much so that I really feel like Blizzard needs to have a Water Cooler blogpost (do you remember those neat things?) talking about their changes and what they’re aiming for.
That´s not the result of no “waist training”… the male Nelf model evidently had the ribs on the lower portion of his torso removed from his body.
THIS is an actual terrible issue that needs fixing ASAP. I´ll happily bring my support in any thread you people make regarding this -and you should make one-. While at it, fix the crooked nose of the male Nelf, that is what ages them to a billion years old.
I appreciate the insight of this post and your honesty so thank for that and I will be sure to take note of what you have said because I have learned that my fears of some stuff online aren’t unjustified even if I haven’t experienced it personally.
