I do think AT LEAST the Belves can get the red eyes. The Dark Animus exists under Belf control as per canon lore.
We opened the chance to get the undead skins Brae cause it´s waay more probably with nuBlizz this path to get playable “Dark Rangers” than the toggle (I admit too that by lore they would be better served as a toggle in the Forsaken race, thing is, I´m not sure the devs would invest on this. It´s waaay harder to do than making accesible an eye color and a skintone in the Belf model).
Tell me about it, now the very worst of that playerbase continues to push to poach Belf stuff (and them recruiting the MHP and the NEFPA players doesn´t precisely talk on their favor).
I disagree, it would be a very bad investment for blizz to go on letting blood elves have dark ranger skins. And there us many red tints they can use for red eyes other then the ones dark rangers possess.
The biggest issue is opening a path for undead paladins that is not under the forsaken race. It will cause a big uproar.
Which is why I am pushing in a different direction with my requests. The alliance do not need more blood elf stuff directly, we have enough now through void elves becoming corrupted by the high elf crowd.
I agree the Belves don´t have to get the same red tint of the Dark Rangers (heck, in an ideal world this indeed is what should happen) but then again: the High Elf + Wildhammer customizations kinda set a precedent, and that precendent is that Blizz will make this RP variations possible NOT implementing races BUT implementing customizations.
Well my man… I raise then the importance RP actually has in this game (and considering the RP exclusive servers are a BIG minority? I´m afraid not much)
Your average Joe recruiting people for his raid night doesn´t care is your Belf warlock has golden eyes, he just cares he fulfills the dps requieremtns to beat the content, period. No real precendent from a gameplay PoV, only from an RP one.
A lost battle myman, the people asking for that are literally MHP posters who desire a “hoter” look for their toons, no more and no less -cause indeed, Paladin lorewise was never a relevant class combo for the High elves-, and the only known High elf paladin ended up becoming a Belf, lul.
I don’t consider Pandaren or Vulpera have any lore standing to be druids. Lighforgeds might be the same, but would be an interesting pick at least that doesn’t need to bend druid or other classes lore, though certainly normal draenei make more sense but for the sake of separating them druid is the only class that could work. LF are not going to be warlocks after all.
Druids won’t fit with lfd. The reason being is because they have a military baised culture, they would care little for nature because they are too busy fighting a war somewhere.
Some of this response is pretty tone-deaf to OP’s concerns. You guys have spoiled Void Elves quite enough already (to the point that you’ve basically given a Horde race to the Alliance). They really should be at the very back of the line now; the future of customization options expansion should focus on other, more neglected races. What you’ve done for the Nightborne and the Lightforged is a good start – keep going in that direction.
These are way too iconic, I do think these should be no brainer options!
But I don’t consider Vulpera and Pandaren have reasons at all, specially vulpera (pandaren at least know what plants look like). People conflating animal gods to instant druidism for races that are nearby doesn’t equal “races having reasons”. So you don’t get to hold me to your standards on what druid lore should be.
So I prefer LFD because they would at least offer some differentiation to Normal draenei, not hard to understand.
It’s the one class that could be different. LFD would never get DH or Warlocks, and Rogues should be draenei baseline anyway.
It’d be a shame if they introduced tinkers/artificiers and it was only for LF.
