Nah, it really doesn’t take a whole lot. In Vanilla the hinterlands were a good leveling zone for Alliance, especially the quests where the High Elf lodge was at. You see them in Terokkar Forest in a whole settlement as Alliance and quest with em, in Wrath they’re at the tournament grounds and everywhere scattered about, in Cata they’re still at the same lodge re-done. In MoP the main freakin quest line with the divine bell involves the Silver Covenant.
I can’t vouch for WoD because I never played it, In Legion I forget where many were, but Bfa you obv had them in Boralus and the Arathi warfront, then come SL they’re in the revamped mage tower.
That could be the case but Mag’s question was ‘where are any Alliance High Elves outside Dalaran’ and despite being told the spots they post a pic of a Dalaran NPC, further showcasing they haven’t quested as an Alliance character. They probably RP a lot and stay in cities so ofc they won’t see them if they’re RPing Horde.
And I was talking to Solarian who was trying to make the point that before cata that high elves outshone races like dwarves, which is frankly just silly. They were there, but they were not some sort of massive presence
I believe Solarion’s point was that Dwarves/Gnomes were in the same capacity, they didn’t get much stand-out moments until the likes of Ulduar or Gnomes with Mechagon in BfA where the main story focused on those races rather than spotlit them in specific zones like the High Elves.
His point was they’re common enough that majority of Alliance players would say ‘yeah we got High Elves’
Re-read that. You saying end-game zones were dwarf heavy is exactly what I mean when I say they were spotlit in specific zones. But something like Ulduar focusing on Dwarves which is a major story beat is not something that can be missed, same for Mechagon and the Gnomes.
And that’s the same as the Alliance Divine Bell questline, you get re-introduced again to the Silver Covenant, the same ones from Wrath who you signed up with to Rep at the Argent Tournament.
At this point I’m not sure where you’re trying to head, because it seems like you’re trying to super minimize things whereas I’m not trying to ‘maximize their involvement’ I’m just saying if you quest Alliance hot spots (and I don’t mean go backpacking every nook and cranny) you run into Alliance aligned High Elves.
That cannot be said for any other race, you don’t run into a group of Alliance Goblins, you don’t run into a group of Horde Night Elves, or Alliance Tauren or Horde Draenei etc. They’re either neutral groups or aligned to their major faction playable race - the only exception are the High Elves
You don’t have to quest to level up, and by your unacknowledgement of the places Solarion stated, shows you didn’t experience much. When I say ‘skipped x expac’ it means I wasn’t subbed when they were relevant content. You can go do the main Alliance MoP questline still y’know and be involved with the Silver Covenant again.
You’d know that Mag/Fyre/Regina if you didn’t simply dungeon finder and RP in main cities.
alliance have countless conflicts and points of interest in every zone of the game. after the cata revamp youll find every core race represented in these zones except for the one they claim has equal representation
