Why the lack of Customization?

This is my fear as well. I don’t remember where I read it, but I heard that they made a small team dedicated to customisation stuff. So we’ll see where this all goes

I mean more impact on the story small than number small. They were there, but were they really anything approaching major, outside of Wrath where they got lazy and just made mirrored elf groups.

We all quest with races that aren’t playable for our faction, and frankly as horde, using the criteria that the high elves are enough representation to need to be playable, why isn’t most of the alliance available to the horde?

Let’s be honest, High Elves were pretty much on equal footing with every other Alliance race if that’s the metric we’re going by. Dwarves didn’t get much relevance until Cataclysm. Gnomes didn’t get any actual dedicated content until Mechagon in BFA! The sad truth is, High Elves had more presence and in some cases relevance to the Alliance’s story than it’s playable races. The Silver Covenant were the faction we interacted with the most in Wrath, and they had a significant role during MoP too.

Realistically I have to continue to hold out hope that we will all eventually get the stuff we want customization wise because our characters are an extension of ourselves but who knows maybe I’m wrong and we won’t but I hope I’m not wrong.

Yes but there are literally High Elves aligned with the Alliance. It’s not as if it’s either only neutral High Elves or Horde High Elves.

That’s the big difference you’re continuing to ignore. It’s not a situation replicated by Night Elves because there’s only ever Alliance Night Elves or neutral Night Elves. But there aren’t Horde Night Elves (and please don’t bring up the risen undead ones they literally get taken back by Alliance reps)

thats gaslighting. sorry. part of the alliance experience? if you blink YOU WILL miss them unlike the actual alliance races that dont require dalaran to be a focus to make a cameo

blood elves are the high elves. weve had playable high elves the entire time void elves should have remained VOID of blood elf themes and aesthetics. this undermined the actual void elves themselves too

seriously. humans have many nations that the lore could be bent to bring them to the horde. fogsail humans alone fit their criteria to be worth being playable on the horde

lol. have fun with this tarrok - i cant

Are you guys done with your immature Helf/Belf discussion?

My feedback for the developers regarding the HMT customization:

  • The black antler colorization some NPCs have isn’t still available
  • Same goes for the fur option but I think it’s already available for the players
  • Although no customization, please add the Warlock class + these customizations from the Fel Tauren available to the players

No you wont, and I feel like this shows you haven’t played Alliance or you must only dungeon yourself all the way to max lvl.

There’s no avoiding running into Alliance High Elves if you do major quest lines on an Alliance character. This is especially true in TBC, Wrath, and MoP.

Naw I promise it’ll come. It’s just a matter of when. Could be in 9.2, could be in 19.2 when they’re trying to save their last 5 players from quitting but I’m sure it’ll be between that. Blizzard has slowly but surely been trending in the “rule of cool” direction, so that’s why I’m hopeful.

we were just told ‘high elves’ have as much representation as every other alliance race. if i dont go to dalaran where am i going to run into them

Feel free to roll a character on classic and let me know if the lodges in the Hinterlands or Eastern Plaguelands are gone. Or Loch Modan. Walk through the swamps around Theramore and let me know if you can’t find the High Elf scouts.

Now, that is gaslighting. The High Elves are there. You can’t even use a mage portal and pass through the mage tower without seeing one.

Hey, if you guys want humans, ask for them. I won’t stop you.

Ewww pass, rather have Draenei specifically Man’ari Eredar Draenei so I can have red skin and be a Warlock.

That’s not right, a good chunk of Vanilla end game was dwarf based. I’d say there was just as much dwarven and gnomish presence as Alleria’s base in BC.

so a bunch of isolationist elves at a campsite in the hinterlands that are friendly to random adventures that probably 4%(thats a high ball number btw) of the alliance population has even interacted with and the dead theramore elves… thats what i thought

while humans are the only equivalent to getting high elves from horde, the core of the game is humans vs orcs so we both know it wont happen. thats why its ok right. our humans have to be dead, yours were voided now they arent. i feel like blood elves are kind of due for something unique. just a little bit

oh hey look my horde characters interact with the dalaran high elves in the same capacity as my alliance ones they must be horde aligned too

They won’t ever admit it because they haven’t quests on an Alliance character, that’s how you can know whenever someone asks, ‘where’s the Alliance High Elves if they’re so numerous’.

You’re literally led to so many of their spots in Classic, TBC, Wrath, MoP. They’ve kept a presence among the Alliance since the dawn of the game.

Have you maybe considered you have a bias in perception? You want this thing and are actively looking for it, so it stands out for you when you see it. But maybe for someone who doesn’t have the interest, they’ll notice it when they come across it, but it does not make as much of an impression on them.

when i as an adventurer in an individual capacity came across the campsite in the hinterlands with 6 elves, the theramore crater and the surely still occupied allerian stronghold in outland, i thought this is it. these are the true high elves of wow. their lore is incredible because its identical to a blood elf. i mean the story of a people brought to the brink of extinction and fighting their way back to power needs to be told twice
