this here be one of my nightborne. (this is lilock) she’d look amazing with pink hair
Screwed over like the horde continues to be for the last few expansions. Nothing new there.
Hence my ‘there’s a Dead End’ analogy I was letting you know before.
Yes, something like a cotton candy pink hair color would be fabulous.
I actually like the new eyes and I have acknowledged that many times, my main issue personally lies with the same type of hair colors and skintones when they could have added a much wider variety due to us all supposedly being elves it nothing to do with the current playable model because if they ever redo that, that will take a lot of time.
I don’t do this at all, I feel Void Elves have gotten quite a lot compared to other Allied Races but do I think that they have it all, no, plus I still want them to get void based options but that is again my personal opinion and I don’t speak for everyone so.
people are complaining void elves are getting all the attention… blizzard literally just copy pasted half the blood elf assets with the updated file names for them to work on void elves and coded in a toggle to remove the tentacle model from the hair. where as light forged and night born got entirely new model assets with HM tauren getting stuff very soon
i think shadina said it best. blood elf players feel like they got taken out back and got mugged. the race has literally nothing new unique
their pass was a joke and giving void elves the option to be a blood elf is like giving maghar orcs green skin and leaving MU orcs with just a nose ring and earrings with no tats/war paints
There you go, there’s the problem.
“You can’t blame us that we wanted something that already existed but copied to the other side, that was easy so it doesn’t count.”
people are literally saying old assets being put on a splinter group of the same race but alliance, means they are getting more attention. infact, its the opposite, void elves got less attention because blizzard put in less work on them. im fine with what they have, but saying they are getting everything is a HUUUUUUUGE overstatement
The devs didn’t even do a good job of the copy/paste blood elf faces and skin tones over to void elves in 9.0. One thing I’d like to see fixed is to be able to use any face with any skin tone; I can’t use a blood elf face with one of the original void elf skin tones (or vice versa).
What, you’re trying to say that the only race that has not started out neutral like pandas that has been turned into a neutral race is nothing? That a splinter of a core race on the other faction having a wider breadth of thematic options available to them is nothing?
void elves: its just copy paste, nothing impactful and no one loses anything
literally everyone else
for the record void elves arent a splinter group of the same race. they were SUPPOSED TO BE their own unique flavor of blood elf not the same damn thing. so now, where is the blood elf uniqueness?
Let’s not be spurious; High Elves have been a part of the Alliance experience since Vanilla. We had High Elven lodges and NPCs scattered throughout the Alliance territories. That Blood Elves went Horde never detracted from the presence of High Elves in the Alliance.
If ever there was a race that was, ‘neutral,’ before Pandaren, it was the Thalassian elves. The closest I’ve seen people against High Elves and their customizations on the Alliance acknowledge this fact is to agree that Blizzard is at fault for consistently, across just about every expansion, shoving High Elves repeatedly in the face of Alliance players, rather than immediately dropping anything to do with them and using other races.
I won’t disagree on this point. Blood Elves should have received Dark Ranger/San’layn options with the first wave of customizations. They even updated the skin and eye colors the Dark Ranger NPCs use. Add underwear to the skintone and let Blood Elves engage in a very Horde themed variant of their race.
Hopefully this eventually happens because that would be lovely.
A small part. Still doesn’t make them a neutral race when overwhelming majority of the race joined the horde.
To me it feels like someone didn’t have faith in their story and stuck in some extraneous elves on alliance because they had doubts about the twist for high elves that they didn’t have about the night elves. I mean, it’s not like horde hasn’t quested for night elves since vanilla, but there was never a doubt about what side they were on.
I don’t get why it isn’t happening right now. The skin and eyes are already updated. Slap some underwear on and flag those options for player characters. It shouldn’t be any harder than adding hair colors to Void Elves. Even less difficult because you don’t even need to hit Ctrl+C and Ctrl+P.
Numbers have never mattered. The Darkspear Trolls were described as being virtually extinct, and that’s how they entered the game.
That there weren’t enough High Elves to make a Core Race out of, with a city and leveling zones, I could believe. But when Allied Races came around and we got Void Elves who are just a, ‘crack squad,’ well there just wasn’t an excuse anymore.
This is ignoring the fact that playable Pandaren amount to how many could be shoved into a single hot air balloon that came from the Wandering Isle. I can’t imagine the number of canon Pandaren in the Alliance or Horde as far as player characters go numbers more than I’d need one hand’s worth of fingers to count.
Something, something, small indie company or so I’ve read.
I have faith it’ll happen sooner rather than later, IF blizzard keeps up this trend of listening to the players. I understand that others have been requesting stuff for other races as well, but I see no reason not to accommodate belfs with stuff like San’layn customisations even along side the other core race updates if not for the simple fact that a majority of players simply prefer to use the thalassian elf model.
May as well keep throwing bones to the majority of your player base
me either. i thought they were getting red eyes, all the way back when all these customizations were datamined by wowhead.
