Why the hate on blizz developers?

Why the dev resentment of the players?

Chicken or the egg?

It does actually since we fund their jobs.

Lotta wow players are just straight up karens these days

Yup. Company needs to be purged or ppl in lead development need to be sat down and talked to and get off their high horse.

It feels like one person and their bad ideas keeps following through each xpac, the last few years that the majority do not like. But, they have to clutch onto their pearls and hold onto their ego while the game is in a terrible state.

Because there’s no good reason for reverting. Even if it was a mistake they could have just kept the mistake live and no one would have been upset.

Blizzard did this to themselves.

They deserve no sympathy because they upset their own player base during a rocky transition of building goodwill. For what? Nothing was gained by doing that

It’s because this isn’t just a one time thing. Or even five times. Or even ten times. Or twenty… etc etc etc.

It has happened far too long, over too many things. People have gotten fed up with it. Those of us who have been around for a while, and who are considered to be “veterans” (Blizzard’s own words, according to alpha invite thingy), have seen this happen time and time and time again.

They have burned a lot of bridges. It’s time for them to start making amends. And they are on very shaky ground right now.

If they messed up just once or twice, fine. Mistakes happen. But these horrible decisions and bad designs and storytelling has been happening almost consistently every expansion for several expansions in a row.

At that point you can stop calling it a mistake and start calling it intentional

I have no issues with people posting their opinions. And I have no issues if THE OP feels the way he does.

I take issue when they start insulting others. And I know his guild. They’re all trying to make a positive influence on the server for the RP community again. I’d hate to see these insults in calling people childish reflect negatively. I’m capable of separating him from the guild, but you know how GD can get. And I don’t want to see others judge the guild based off of him calling people childish.

I’m oddly protective of WrA. Probably because there’s so little RP left.

Though you’re probably right and I shouldn’t have brought it up at all in the first place, so I apologize.

Wouldn’t the change of not having the cat in LFR, push does players to want to not stay as casual or / bad as you say, and pursue to get better and look for guilds that fit their times and need?

My problem with the current Dev team is, they constantly say one thing, then do the complete opposite 90% of the time, while saying they are listening to our feedback and telling us they want to make things better. Sorry but I have lost a lot of trust in the current Dev team. They earned my disdain for them, simple as that. They want to start re-earning my trust and get me to have less disdain for them, then do what they say they are going to do.

Right, if they want to do whatever they want without negative feedback, it’s going to have to be free to play.

If we pay, we have a say about what we like and don’t like.

Because they deserve it. This is not about having to do slightly more difficult content. This is about Blizz pulling the rug out from under the LFR community. They had “all difficulties” included on the slime cat achievement for literal months on PTR and live servers. Announcing that it will now be normal only a week out from Season 4’s release is them changing things last minute. They have, yet again, shown that they are dishonest and inconsistent.

The difficulty threshold is being increased across all raid modes, including LFR. Why include LFR in that at all if we can’t actually get anything special beyond higher ilvl versions of gear we already have?

People who are playing with hundreds of millions of dollars of investors’ money aren’t supposed to make easily preventable mistakes, mistakes that could have been avoided by doing research into the playerbase was willing to accept and what they would quit over.

It’s called marketing research, planning in advance to produce a product your loyal customers will clamor to use, rather than going on your gut feeling and ignoring all the signs that you’re making a mistake.

Have you applied to a job that stated it was a remote position, jumped through all their hoops and passed all their interviews, only to find out when they send you the offer that it’s really an ON-SITE position?

It’s kind of like that.

If it wasn’t intended to be on LFR, why not state that the achievements need to be earned on Normal or higher, like all the other previous achievements that weren’t eligible for LFR?

There has been ONE post in a single thread that states it isn’t eligible in LFR, despite what the current and PTR achievement requirements state. How is it difficult to imagine why people are upset?

Its nothing like that LOL you didt apply for anything or are getting paid or is a job … BUT i understand how yall feel and why, I just do not agree with it IMO.

Fine, let’s go simpler:

“There are four options to get what you want, pick any of them.”

Cool, I pick this one that works better for my schedule/ability/whatever.

“No, can’t be that one.”

But, you said I could pick ANY option.

“So?”

For two reasons.

  1. Blizzard devs never defend themselves. So, you can say what ever you want about them, blame them for every stupid thing that they get blamed for… and it will just stick.

  2. They’re in charge of the direction of WoW. They’re the leaders, so they’ll get all the justified and unjustified complaints.

Like this post for example.

And this.

See?

No they don’t.

They created The Community Council to not deal with GD.

I understand the passion over World of Warcraft, but people losing their composure and chastising the game developers over pixels just seems silly to me.
