Why so much hate over high elf options

Such a bad division between high elves, blood elves and void elves.

All because of Garithos, all because of ONE human!!!

You mean to tell me that one NPC here and there doesn’t justify a whole playable race, I am shocked and scandalized. :scream: :scream: :scream:

I can get behind this. The dark rangers have been wanted playable for a while. And the only ting that gets a skintone right for this is, well, DK. Who can’t use bows.

It be a cosmetic dark ranger. I’d still take it.

And yet here you are posting on one, playing one and in a guild called High Elf the irony of it all.

An eye color.

Many would argue should have went back to BE’s anyways, and many others would argue an NPC race doesn’t hold exclusivity on options the already playable majority of Thalassians should have.

I mean if you take my argument and get that from it, I think that speaks volumes, but you were also conspicuously absent for most of the toxicity in this thread.

When you called out one comment you disliked which the overwhelming majority of comments you should of or could have called out were way worse, but I guess you just pick and choose.

Like you’re sort of picking on my argument or I’m assuming you are, but you’re also choosing to ignore the content as far as its not “sabotaging others because we didn’t get what we want” its people feel core races should come first, the options are lackluster and Blizzard should redirect attention before proceeding.

How any race “losses” its usefulness to the story by becoming closer to the players is ludicrous, if High Elves were added as playable the story would expand from WoW moving forward, considering the Void elf story is still untouched, a High elf AR would of had the exact same effect to not affect the Blood elf story in anyway aside from “different views” and “We war for Silvermoon sometimes”.

How you don’t see a civil war like conflict as interesting is insane. High Elves and Blood Elves having different stories in WoW to begin with is enough to separate their stories for the future, after that it’s nothing but conflict and future narratives.

You’re just stuck on the past.

This is where I call your bull, if your entire line of reasoning is “Void elf players don’t care enough about void customization until High elf customization was introduced”, then they didn’t care for void customization to begin with if it hinges on “they may not have thought it needed to make void requests”, you can’t not ask for anything then complain when you receive nothing.

I’m a sentient hate balloon because my male Blood Elf got done dirty compared to humans, night elves, and orcs while Void Elves cut in line and got a second visual theme and we got all of jack in return.

We didn’t get:
Freckles
Tatoos
Scars
Beards and mustaches separated
Eyebrow options
Sideburn options
Undead skins
Red eyes

Meanwhile helf stans are screeching about wanting more more more more more. It’s never enough. They’ll never be pleased. There will always be another checkbox until Blood Elves are deleted.

I know the answer. It’s because there have been hundreds of threads about it and people are sick of hearing about it. :slightly_smiling_face:

Simple, by turning what was originally added as a hateful splinter of the race that was antagonistic to them into something closer to a playable character, they rob the story of a chance of closure on that conflict. They’ve gone from a villainous subgroup and become another bland generic magic elf.

Come on, I mean, your whole line of bull is that somehow because when people might not have had a reason to make some requests, when they see the possibility, and the way certain vultures are trying to steal their race from them to make a boring vanilla elf so they now have a reason to make requests that that shouldn’t count because you haven’t shut up about your demands in over a decade?

Also, what’s with the whole quoting a misused word that wasn’t in the post I made?

but the 4 named elves they added over 15 years. thats an important part of the alliance

Don’t you understand the lore significance of the T-shirt enthusiast elves!?

There’s no irony. I’m just a Warcraft fan who has been playing the games longer than 99% of lore-ignorant WoW newbies. Got a cool guild and a cool mog, and will be able to play a ranger on the correct faction when Shadowlands launches. Warcraft life’s good and you’re just mad that the Horde can’t gatekeep an Alliance race anymore.

Womp womp.

i think people are rightfully angry that an allied race that hasn’t been in the game long has more options than races that have been in the game from the very start or never had many options to begin with

Where are you and that Cezol getting that everyone is angry, I mean honestly if anything I was making fun of you and laughing at you, so I’m not sure how you figure that constitutes me being angry at all. :joy: :joy: :joy:

2 of which were added to fulfill the creepy fantasy of a couple of writers, ugh

Seriously, the only way this could get funnier is if we were to be treated to a lecture on femurs

I’m sure there are plenty of good reasons to add them. I’m not arguing against it, just answering the OP’s question. It seems a little weird to add all the new races and not add the one people have been begging for for years.

Okay, but imagine the :poop:show that would have ensued if the Horde got new dark-skinned Thalassians while the Alliance’s Void Elves got left out of that fun. It’d have been completely racist because #BLM. So, of course Void Elves got regular flesh tones. This was clearly calculated and considered.
