Its a decent reason they wont happen. and somehow the pro san’layn aren’t contrary? They just say “well he didn’t specifically say x” and use that as their proof but if someone else goes along those same lines they get quite upset.

So a big’ol Pirate from the South Seas sails into Northrend and during it’s plundering he stumble upon a beautiful San’layn Woman, Pirate goes for the booty, the Elf goes along to drain his blood and other things… and in the end we got a new race? I’m in.

San’layn may not happen, but that doesn’t change the fact that Blood Elves have begun experimenting with Blood Magic. The Blood Elves themselves may be headed toward a San’layn-like future.

Didn’t seem like Blood Magic made you into a vampire though. Wasn’t that what the blood trolls were using? They weren’t vampires, more that they consumed the flesh of other sentients and probably each other.

i mean… not entirely that, could of been a vampirate from legion who got away, started making more.

could make it like a blood queen of the seas ordeal, make it a elf who lured in a pirate crew at first and now has her own crew trying too survive…

Well Blizzard tends to take the lazy route and both factions already have one race using the blood elf model/animations so I doubt we will get another.

When you fight against Blood Prince Dreven, he says that the Forsaken don’t have enough meat on their bones, and that it took three Forsaken to match the power gained from a single Night Elf. So, San’layn don’t seem to be just based on blood sucking, either.

Nightborne don’t use the same models as the San’layn…

You are taking it too literally. He means blood. Not much meat on their bones also would affect the blood.

I think they got dealt with in the alliance war campaig therefore are all but done for. Ofc they can always make up some lore to fix that :slight_smile:

For people who keep pointing to this event, can anyone provide anything stating that all the San’layn in existence were indeed wiped out?

Not all of them were wiped out. A lot yes, but anyone who says that all of them were wiped out is either ignorant or straight up lying.

They wont happen cuz why would blizz add another elf race and give them to the horde??? I could easily see another elf race…as to why horde idk cuz blizz tends to. Honestly i would love to ses San’layn as a playable race but with the direction they seem to be going with Sylvanas i doubt she could implement them before her death/sacrifice. At this point only way i see them being playable is if Sylvanas broke off and made a 3rd faction then i easily could see them being a race but i doubt they will be based off current story
