A couple years ago, guildmate said “bear with me, feeding my son while I play”. Was a guy.

suggesting they could keep up just fine, they just don’t like direction and leadership. Who would have guessed, the target demographic, toxic casual whales don’t like direction or leadership from the presumed leadership role. Wow. Better abuse that kick button asap, this guy hurt my fefes.
He is being a bit extra with that, but it is a crime to humanity that we can’t post chat/logs in these forums. Unsurprisingly, to protect the people who kick good players from dungeons for playing well. 
I make up much wilder 1-liner stories before a key starts to get a cigarette in tbqh lol
I did start a key once saying “afk dinner” as a joke. Got a couple “…….” comments.

No, the OP probably got kicked because they ripped into the healer/party. Again I’ll say it: NOBODY gets kicked for “playing well”.

I’ll never forget back in Cata (the real Cata, 2010?) I did a ramparts as a prot paladin- I guess I accidentally had a 2h on in retr spec and started pulling and was like teheh, oops. Then realized I actually wasn’t taking much dmg. So I continued to pull in retr spec, noticed I wasn’t losing aggro, I was top dps, and top heals, so I kept going. These guys were fuuuuming for me to put a shield on and stop pulling, it was hilarious. They kicked me like idk, 10mins later they finally figured out how or something. They were fuming in chat more than they were playing hahah.
May have been my first experience being kicked, not that that happens often. Maybe 5 times in 20 years?
I’m not saying I 100% believe him, but people get kicked for playing well, which is ajoined with smashing through dungeons, although not exclusively.
Toxic casual behaviour is huge in modern times, and especially this game and forum.
It doesn’t matter to me if it goes over your head, it still is what it is.
I see both sides. I think what he means is when someone kicks someone else, their reason for kicking in their mind wasn’t “this guy is playing well”. It’s probably something like “this guy isn’t playing how I want him to” for whatever reason.
Fair. Reality is, outside from that perspective, they are probably just playing well.
They probably are, for sure. Back then, some people didn’t understand some play styles, even if they are working well. They have tunnel vision.
Thing is, like, I’m 488 with leggo weapon. Do people know how much dmg the leggo dot does? lol Things are dying just by me looking at them funny.
Last boss of ruby shrine dies in <10 secs with a few heartstrikes and blood boils. And that’s not even optimizing my rotation, as a TANK.
So the correct and reasonable discourse, is at the end of a 6-10min run, say “thank you” (optional), and requeue for your next dungeon, or check out follower dungeons.
Even I give at least “ty” before I leave the group because insta-leaving dungeons without saying anything is weird energy to me… which probably makes me weird tbqh.
The more I read the more I want to be matched with the OP just to vote kick them.

Just alt tab to youtube and watch politics or something for 30 minutes when queue again
you mean LFD as you can’t queue for raids at level 20, as for people being dumb and kicking people for no reason I’ve seen people bully a rogue for not hitting as hard as a mythic plus player in a level 30 dungeon while everyone was low 30s so It…does happen. Kinda sucks it gives you deserter for being kicked though as that allows the system to be abused in its own way
