Non-raiders make up the vast majority of token purchases, absolutely no doubt. So yea, when you run those guys out of town, good luck with flipping the bill for those overpaid dev’s salaries.
World Content rewards still matter. Quit making it seem that is an all or nothing proposition. Like either you are fully geared from boosts or only partially. Something has to make up the remaining gear.
I don’t think given casuals same ilvl gear as mythic is the solution.
It would be better to reduce the gap between tier. For example instead of 13 ilvl doff between tiers they could make it 7 ilvls. That way normal gear would be 238 heroic 245 and mythic 252 and korthia gear would be 242.
This is a much better solution.
Yikes, a trivial, decidedly unfair, biased, personal opinion. So, you’ve decided it’s trivial. Fine. Many don’t.
For the billionth time not everyone likes that Mythic crap. You have at it. No wants your precious gear level so get over that! No one wants even close to your coveted gear - except other elitist.
I had no problem with progression and gear in bfa. I say ‘I’ rather than we because I really dislike jumping to conclusions.
I wish the elites would really cool it with their “coveted” gear and think past their own wants. And for heavens sake drop the victim complex!!!
You don’t have to like it and that’s fine. It’s when people want the rewards from doing the harder content like heroic and mythic but don’t want to actually put the effort in
I wish the solo players would stop calling themselves casuals as an excuse to validate their lack of success in game.
I care more about the health of the game than whether casuals deserve gear or not, so I say give them a path to get heroic raid level gear.
The key is to give that path, without making raiders feel obligated to do that content as well.
Bringing back MoP and WoD valor would be a good way to do this. Let the casuals buy gear with it, let the raiders spend it to increase their raid gear ilvl. Everyone has long-term character progression without feeling obligated to do content they don’t like.
Who cares about needing it? This is a video game if people want other ways to get gear there’s no reason not to provide those avenues - especially considering far more people play the game that don’t raid or do top end keystones than those that do.
Locking the best rewards behind raiding so that people can live out their sad power fantasy of having things others do not has always been very strange and kind of disgusting actually.
Yep. I jump into these same threads, read the same crudola, I repeat the same thing (depending on my mood in which manner,) and once in awhile there’s the common sense reply that gets totally overlooked.
It’s not my opinion that world content is trivial - it’s fact.
nothing about world content is difficult. it can be completed by half a potato that sat in the oven too long.
I was responding to the OP, who wants high ilvl for casuals, for presumably doing trivial content. So, yes, people are asking for “my coveted gear”
These conversations are so stupid, beucase you know what? I don’t care if someone else has high quality gear, as long as, wait for it…
they do the content in which it drops.
You want to be all decked out in 252s? do a weekly 15 and get vault gear. Get KSM and grind valor for a full set of 426. want 239s? you can get there with valor or heroic raid.
but should you get there by picking up coconuts and running errands for theotar? no
even puting something like visions back in the game. there’s your path to better gear that isn’t stupidly trivial.
Im doing Random BG content. It has been my fun and max level content for the last 17 years (playing from EU) and I certainly need full PvP gear to perform well. Random fights are exhilarating.
Im not going to “earn” it from 3v3 against people who have 20K more HP and 10% more damage.
