Why not give Casuals high lvl gear?

The only reason I even play is because of my friends.

Unbelievable.

If a casual player in 252 out in the open world breaks the game, so does a raider. Better fix that fast. I a DM only allowed 2 of the players to have strong gear, and restricted the other 4, that would break the game faster than anything else.

Wow is still unfortunately one of the better platforms to hangout with people in an open world and queue content with them, even if i disagree with most of their recent game dev decisions

Theres something special about keyboard turning around your friend’s character instead of clicking to move around them

Only cause If I do 15s now That will totally invalidate zereth mortis gear >.>

the difference is, you didnt pay to play in D&D groups. People pay subscriptions to not be told, tough $#&Y^%%, nothing for you because the lead designer is a raider and it makes raiders feel important to have better gear. Shareholders take a dim view of that. Ask the wildstar devs how hardcore worked for them.

Let me get this straight… you’re not okay with having your Zereth Mortis gear invalidated, but having normal raider’s gear invalidated is perfectly fine? Because you said this:

Meaning it’s okay for normal raiders to have their rewards invalidated, but when it comes to YOUR gear, well that’s a different matter.

you’re the same person that would expect your kids team to get a participation trophy even though they got their butt kicked. you existing in the game does not give you the right to have the same gear as someone who takes the time to learn the game and how to play in an organized setting… you should feel less powerful and get rolled by raiders/pvpers. you chose to pay for the game noone is forcing you to sub .

People pay subscriptions for access, and everyone’s is the same. Choosing not to engage with the content that gives the desired rewards is on the player.

I like to play by myself. Do I have control if someone wants to do flex raiding? Raiding already has difficulty increases, those guys get to progress to harder raids. Not the same with solo content.

There is a progression path for raiders, can’t say there is one for solo players. Unless you count pugging as soloing, that to me is still doing group content, which is nice for some specs like the healing and tanking specs. But again raiders got there thing in game already and vault loot on top of that. All solo/casual players got is timegated repgrinds with boring rare spawn farming and a ilvl cap that leaves much to be desired.

A normal raider can progress to heroic for example. Solo players hit a wall at world content.

I’ll bet the shareholders do. And when they get low enough, Actiblizz will shuffle wow to maintenance mode. no more fancy raids then. Thats a fact of business. It is the way things work. The devs need to find something to kindle a fire under wow.

giving casuals participation gear is not how you do that

Except it wasn’t always like this

IE mop random bg solo conquest ilvl was 550 while heroic(now mythic) was 566

Current random bg solo conquest ilvl is 220 while mythic is 252

Games changing is fine, but solo attainable decent ilvl does not invalidate endgame raiding

hint: the people that hate the game already left. The people here hope for some improvements to bring the game back to its former glory.

plenty of people pay gold to get participation gear and it doesnt seem to be a problem.

There are multiple progression paths. And they are equally available to all, or is Blizzard somehow stopping you from accessing them?

It’s a self-imposed wall though. You can get better gear, you simply choose not to.

I also like how you ignored my point that you’re fine with other’s preferred playstyle being invalidated as long as it’s not yours. Typical.

Yea and we are asking for a solo path… you do not understand this? Or at least casual like frost badges… timewalking weekly and timewalking up all the time for the quest for normal raid loot. Valor being applicable to all pve gear. That way everyone can build there power progress even normal raiders.

You are saying the same thing about solo players at what point does it matter? If you choose to gear with 10 other people or by yourself? Like this is a game we all want different things from it. What is this gatekeeping oh you don’t want to do 10 man content so you can’t get this ilvl gear… but you can do 5 man content and get mythic gear with this rng chest…

Like idk, how is a solo gearing path different from the others. Why is 4/5 paths to gearing worse then just the 3.

Is there only 3 types of wow players?

I’ll admit I don’t like raiding but I appreciate the effort involved and believe it should give better gear…

…but getting absolute best gear for doing ONLY SOLO content?!? You would pretty much have to start a whole new game built around only playing solo…

I’m a casual and im against this, I feel if you want the high level gear you work your a$$ off for it and not have it given to you. But then again i did start playing wow when you actually had to grind to get your gear.
