No, you’re asking for faceroll content to award the best gear in the game (just with a time gate). Or did I miss something? Because this is getting to be a long thread. And for that matter, WoW is primarily a group content game, you and everyone else knew that when you hit the Install button.
There are many types of WoW players. The game cannot cater to them all though. At some point the developers have to pick something and stick with it. Sorry that your playstyle isn’t the winner I guess, but again, you should have known what type of game it was when you signed up.
Yup. And I submitted my feedback and hope the devs are hearing me. As rumours say 10.0 will be different. I hope they can implement some changes in 9.2. Wheras you been telling me to quit all thread >.>.
Well, I’m not really in the “it invalidates endgame raiding” camp.
I also agree with you that PvP gearing stinks now.
I’d totally support a solo progression system that gave high end gear for actual challenging content, but doing dailies shouldn’t end up at heroic raid levels or above in the current tier.
I watched a little bit of the first episode. It takes place during the first avengers movie during the final battle. The main chars a little girl and her father dies but she sees Hawkeye fighting. She ends up learning archery and becomes Hawkeyes apprentice
Where have I told you to quit? I’ve told you that you can do content to get the gear that you want, I’ve told you that you need to pick a game that caters to your playstyle or you’re going to be frustrated, and I’ve said that this may not be the genre for you if that’s the case.
You, on the other hand have indicated that you’re not okay with having your gear progression invalidated but you’re completely fine with normal raiders progression being completely invalidated. Yeah, I do hope that the devs hear exactly what you’re saying.
Never got that legendary bow on my hunter this patch, nor any normal mode xmog, nor vault loot for doing solo content, nor domination shards from korthia, nor easy access to decent trinkets until 8 ish weeks into the patch. Thry have there perks and can go into heroic and then mythic if they wanted. Meanwhile solo content is timegated for raiders so it gets artificially invalidated by power and time. But I guess I should be happy for getting my twisting corridor and torgast mounts and not complain that I didn’t get solo gear from solo dungeons or even a great vault option. Just a few shoulder pieces, few battlepets, 1 mount each patch.
Yea you think its ok to invalidate solo experiences and I think it is invalidated and needs improvement.
I know mythic raiders that have killed Sylvie on two different difficulties every week that haven’t gotten that bow. You aren’t some special case lol. Domination shards can be gotten and upgraded strictly through LFR, and a lot of BiS trinkets are from m+. My shaman being one of them. For that matter, no one is stopping you from going into heroic or mythic and getting those things.
Again, you knew what kind of game this was when you hit the “Install” button. And I’m not talking about solo content in general. I’m specifically speaking to your and the OP’s desire for faceroll world quest content to award the best gear in the game.
See, now this is where we agree. I do believe that the solo experience could use some improvement. However I don’t think that you should get mythic gear from timegated world quest content like you’re advocating. I wouldn’t be opposed to a solo path for gearing that has appropriately difficult content and that can’t be conquered by anyone with a pulse like world quests can.
That is true, but most people know what type of game WoW is, i.e. most know it’s primarily centered around group content (at least for gear progression) and has been for a very long time. Sure you can advocate for it and hope it changes, but you chose to install it knowing it’s limitations. Getting upset because it doesn’t have the things you want in it makes makes about as much sense as me hating PvP but still getting upset that League of Legends is mostly centered around it.
I can’t, for the life of me, figure out how a solo player would play a game with an end game mostly directed at organized group and then be shocked when they find out they won’t receive the same rewards as others who partake in group content at the highest difficulty the game offers. These people have to be trolling.
It’s like buying a car that has a gasoline engine and getting mad that you can’t charge it like an electric car, so you get mad at the car manufacturer and tell them that their car sucks.
Maybe they play the game for other reasons than raiding.
Crazy I know but hey times and tastes change.
Keeping the gear gap in place will only hurt this game more than improve it because its easier to find another game with more of an even playing field.
