Why not give Casuals high lvl gear?

Funny how you mention that since pvpers have to pve to stay ahead of the curve in ranked.

Yes again locking upgrades around rating feels horrible.

It suck’s to know it’s designed that way on purpose. Now a lot more will pay for boosts just to get the gear they want which means more token sales

Yup its a shame really. But that is what happens when the game is elitist lead. I can only hope our voices are heard and they change some stuff in the ptr before it goes live. For the health of the game and putting some fun into the final patch!

I have to wonder what makes more money for blizzars though. Do WoW token sales that go toward boosting services kake more money then the average sub cost?

Yeah…but you’re sort of operating under the assumption that gear is the most important thing. It only serves as a way to make your chosen gearing path more efficient. If you want to do dungeons, better gear allows you to do higher keys. It allows you a better chance at clearing raids. The solo content is pretty much beaten on day one. The gating is the only reason that you can’t do it all in one sitting.

There’s just no benefit in having gear aimed towards solo content. If you want to blast through world quests, sign up for your guild’s heroic reclear once in a while. It’s never been easier to gear than it is right now and it’s been that way for a long time. They practically throw gear at you.

Somebody doesn’t like me.

Because my “frog gear” is being placed in the same combat arena with folks wearing the latest in mythic sylvanas’ wardrobe, and it’s not fair. It would be like queuing for LFR and finding out the first boss is its mythic version.

All I’m asking for is a bit of fairness. Whether that be accessible item levels, or BG caps, or ilvl caps in BGs.

The benefit of gear for solo players?
Hmm.
Less time spent doing activities = more gph in farming activities.
Ability to solo more old content.
Ability to participate in more content.
Ability to pull more mobs and sirvive.
Ability to get accepted into groups increases.
Ability to collect current tier transmogs increases.
Nerfs all content associated with gear the more ilvl increases.

Yes even solo players find gear attractive. Saying thry dont need it is like saying you dont need gear after you beat the game. It always has a use. Wether you find it useless or not is up to you.

Time is money my friend. More time is nice to have.

You’re starting to take this personally. By your own admission, you don’t do much content, yet you’re fully geared in epics and you have a legendary. Yes, your time is valuable, and time is the only thing that this game rewards you for, but you need to use that time efficiently. Imagine what your gear would look like if you were playing classic.

I wore nothing but ‘frog gear’ (not right now) for this current patch and deleted world content just fine. :woman_shrugging:

The only comment that makes sense in your response is for PvP fairness in terms of ilvl progression sense those aren’t NPCs you’re fighting, they’re other players.

It’s the whole reason I’m speaking up about this. I used to enjoy random BGs consistently throughout every expansion, and at the moment I feel like I can’t do that. I just want to be able to do it again.

Ok but that’s not the gear I am speaking about. I’m talking about PVE gear in a PVE situation.

PvP gear should be like it was in WoD. :woman_shrugging:

Casual bg players have been getting stomped from the very beginning. You still had raiders and afk grinders absolutely shredding people in vanilla. That’s just the way it goes.

The PvP gear I used to be able to get was fine enough for PvE as well.

Yep, so you agree, bring back WoD PvP gearing.

That’s not true. Most expansions had accessible honor gear, and fully conquest geared folks most of the time only had a minor advantage. It was never insurmountable like it is now.

I would take any of the previous expansions’ gearing methods over what we have now. I personally preferred BfA’s model though. I was a 460+ person in a world with 475 as the highest as a total solo player and I was happy.

This will sound counterintuitive, but you’re going to find much more balanced bg play in yolo rated bg’s.

They would never accept me. I just want the model we had for basically all of WoW’s life. The only eras that sucked for me in regards to PvP was early Vanilla, and Shadowlands.
