irony is not a synonym for hypocrisy.
Don’t cherry-pick quotes from different convo’s while removing context. My responses to him are on the basis that he brushed off the topic of the thread with ignorance, insults, and passive-aggressive BS that contributed nothing to the overall topic.

That’s why subs have been dropping since 2008, but increased through vanilla and TBC; More people unsatisfied than satisfied. Its also why Classic has more players than retail, with ques up to 3 hours long on some servers.

Yeah the new update pissed me off. Now I lag very bad while questing and raiding or in major city…. They changed my graphics without my permission. I played on high and ultra so why is it set to good??? AND LAGGING??? I never lagged before the update with better graphics!!! This is stupid. Sick of people asking me why my character isn’t moving… hello the game is lagging horribly can’t do anything. I press abilities but nothing happens everything is stuck loading. maintenance breaks have done nothing.

People who are complaining about the UI want the old one back, which was limited anyway. Which I’m sure someone like the ClassicUI author will come along to help them with. Until then, people have been sharing the import codes to layouts that are very similar to the old one. They don’t even have to move anything around.
And i’ll gladly call you out on your disingenuous approach to it, everytime.
So again, stop cherry-picking random lines from different engagements with no context to find little opportunist jabs to get in. Keep the thread about the topic of the thread, and not about your bruised ego.
Derailing is not cool, and you started it by poking in my engagement with someone else simply because you had lost yours.
So back on track: Nobody was talking about wanting the new UI to replace addons. People are upset that it is replacing addons (via them being cancelled), while only having a fraction of their usability.

Nonsense. the UI changes have NOTHING to do with all those subs dropping.
SUCK CONTENT did all that.
Ion playing god with flight did that.
Lack of compelling storylines did that

I don’t get it either. Yes was a little frustrating for me at first with new UI but after a few attempts I got to where I can stand it.Now it’s no fuss no muss for my others of same class and spec.
Idk how people expect compensation where we do technically agree to knowing the services may be down from time to time and some things need sorting out . We agreed to this essentially.
I think if I’d said this to you about one of your points, you’d reply “that’s lazy.” So that’s how I’ll respond to you.
There’s a difference between a majority and a vocal minority. Unless you can provide me proof, I’m going to assume it’s a vocal minority.
Subs have been going down because it’s an aging game and it’s original playerbase has been aging out of it for years. I quit and come back all the time. So do a lot of people. And problems do drive people away too. We could argue for hours about why wow is dying… But “the UI got an update that’s easy to get back to close to the old default with 3 minutes of work” isn’t going to be a reason people quit. You know it, and so do i. It’ll be the same reasons it always is.

So uh, i’d just like to let you know that the person you’re talking to is a brick wall and if you don’t agree with them 100% they’ll complain you’re stalking them and then block you. Better to just put on ignore until they decide to hop on another alt

Nah it’s not about shilling. I criticize Blizz all the time for things. But this UI outrage is a joke. It’s embarrassing honestly. People need to find something else to complain about.

Managing this ui is confusing? Dunno, was pretty easy for me. If it had some sort of weak aura functionality I’d be all set to just use the base UI for playing.

This phenomenon happens when players have been scorned over and over. Blizzards reputation is obviously not very positive since Shadowlands and all the internal stuff coming out over the passed few years.
Thus, small issues get 10x the reaction; the worse your overall rep, the more intense the negative reaction. Small issues = big outrage.
And it will keep getting worse until they turn things around.
