Why Not Compensate US?

This UI rage is incredible and I was thinking GL was the jackpot

I’m hoping they keep iterating on the UI over time instead of making this one big effort to redesign and then stop putting any effort into it. UI overhaul is a huge improvement in customization, but leaves a lot to be desired.

I’d personally like to be able to shrink (not remove) talking head frame, and have a “simplistic” option for character and target frames.

The main Issue is that people don’t like to think anymore …
like every major patch it is recommended to reset addon, WTF and Cache folders in the WoW install directory

But usually people are to lazy and then issues ensue …

:+1:
Its amazing how some can think theyve said so much when theyve said literally nothing at all.

a huge part of the complaining is about that stupid dragon art and the ‘minimalist’ look of the UI changes or that it didnt REPLACE their addons lmao.
Its hard to take them seriously

ESC > EDIT MODE > MOVE IT WHERE YOU WANT IT
lmao…does blizzard seriously need to make a 2 hour instructional video on this?
It took a minute or two to figure it out. less than 10 to get what i wanted.

Accidents happen and you are not entitled to anything from blizzard.

Fraid i’m not a fortune teller. I’ve just had the pleasant experience of trying to talk sense into this person multiple times and they always block me and everyone else. Well, at least they say they do.

These forums have always had that sort of visceral reaction. It’s hardly a barometer for where the game is at. Because people declared that everything they didn’t like was gonna kill the game or the game was dying.

They are classic players mate they follow the "No changes " policy they must gotten lost and ended in retail somehow, it can happen if they find the UI complex

Let’s do some math.

$15 dollars / 28 days (average) = .53 a day, divide that by 24 hours a day = .02 cents an hour. So where do you want them spend your like .50 cents?

in magnitude? Yes

towards less trivial things? No.

I think the overall player-base is just done with the company; they’d outrage over a typo in a blue-post at this point.

This is a very good idea. Usually whenever Bliz changes things I have to adjust my HUD elements. Once I get everything back to how I want it, I do this. I save both the WTF and the Interface folders.

This actually has helped reverse many errors that have popped up over the years, which has resulted in Bliz back tracking to fix things. So this is a very helpful suggestion regardless.

This actually helped me some years ago when I ended up with a corrupted launcher and was forced to reload the entire game because the ‘repair’ option failed to work. Saving at least those two folders saved my bacon (so-to-speak).

Yes it was towards trivial things. You can still use the wayback machine to go and see some of the stuff complained about. Nothing has changed in that regard.

Nah people need more things to do in their lives. That’s all.

I do agree that a 1 day credit or something would be appropriate due to all the down time this week, but Blizz hasn’t done that kind of thing in over a decade so the chances of them doing it now are basically zero.

The UI itself, while a buggy and rushed mess, is technically usable so compensation for that isn’t necessary, it just needs to be fixed and finished ASAP.

I mean, Im literally playing on a second monitor right now. Played every day since prepatch except when the servers were down.
Not sure how theyre being kept from playing other than those experiencing REAL issues like bugs.

Tell me you’re one of those “WOW isn’t losing subs because Blizzard wont show the numbers”-types, without telling me you’re one of those “WOW isn’t losing subs because Blizzard wont show the numbers”-types.

Vocal Minorities don’t cause overall game population to decline; more people leaving than staying does (aka, THE MAJORITY). Rocket science, I know

…what? You said people complaining on the forums in general is not indicative of WOW dying, otherwise it would of died in Vanilla. Not you, nor I ONCE said WOW is dying due to its new UI.

Don’t do that again. Waste of time.

thats not how society works, at all. Any company or even individual (like a celebrity) experiences larger magnitudes of outrage the more negative their reputation.

See Donald J Trump for the best example; guy makes a typo on Twitter, or has silly hair in the wind, and its 2 weeks of how he’s clearly satan.

Its a societal phenomenon.

You may not have stated that, but linking the argument i made about majorities and vocal minorities makes it seem like you are conflating this issues with some of the larger ones. You related them, not me.

Either way, semantics. We’re not going to agree on this. And you’re right… you have a right to complain over this very minor issue. The difference is I’ll walk away knowing that I’m in a happier place with the UI than I was before, and you’ll stay mad about it. Do with that information what you will.

So, disagreeing with you is shilling? Interesting take…
