I quite like the new UI, as it’s what’s convinced me to finally install an AddOn (ElvUI) for the first time.
…what? Are you daft?
A UI update can’t have more customization options? Only addon replacements can?
the hell are you even trying to say rofl
aka
“i have nothing intelligent to rebuttal with because my initial point was indeed that ignorant”
thank-you for contributing your lukewarm take on the subject at hand.
lmao…they NEVER advertised it as an addon replacement.
They can do whatever they WANT to do with it.
BUt YOU, however, are making DEMANDS that it REPLACE your addon.
so…
what … in the absolute hell … are you even talking about? I’m genuinely frightened. What? HUH?
We’re talking about the NEW BLIZZARD UI sucking because of its bugs, limitations, and indirect cause for other addons to now be cancelled despite doing a better job. Why are you rambling about addon replacements?
You confuse the hell out of me.
do you go to netflix forums and ask for your money when you don’t like a show ?
Most people don’t like change. Blizzard up and chose to change a UI we’ve had for decades when literally no asked for it.
There is a lot of psychology behind change. Especially forced change.
are you even putting in real effort to be obtuse?
You know EXACTLY how this exchange started. lmao
Let me move the exp bar, the micro menu, and the bag bar. And the dungeon finder eye
If you want an actual reply, here it is.
There is nothing difficult about the new UI. I had it set in a manner that I liked in about 5 minutes. I then named it, and with every character I set up afterwards, only had to load up the saved set up.
I also was able to resize everything but the minimap, and move whatever I wanted to wherever I wanted it. It’s heads and tails better, and you’re a bit of a crybaby if you’re still whinging about it.
And if you’re using addons, you have to be used to things not working after updates. The modders will adjust, and you’ll have the mod you wanted back in a few days.
Welcome to game updates. Maybe someday you’ll get used to them.
Everyone wanted shadowlands to end so they skipped a raid and pushed dragon flight earlier. Everyone wanted an update UI so they didnt need to rely on addons which they did. Everyone asked for talent changes but wanted to keep all the borrowed powers they enjoyed so they did. Looks to me like blizzard gave everyone exactly what they asked for.
First, you can’t even quote properly on here. I’m starting to feel your 3 bottles in.
Second, I’ve read the conversation 8 times trying to understand wth you’re talking about, and genuinely think you’ve made it confusing on purpose as to avoid the criticisms.
Cute trick, but now you can’t pull it again without being called out for it.
You want financial compensation for this?
LMAO what
yeah…it still needs work and bug fixin, but so far its much better given we can actually move stuff around.
There are plenty of easy to set up modded UIs, some that even emulate the old ui but with slight improvements, which you can use. I am unsure we deserve compensation for an error in the pre-patch. Additionally… how do you people use the default UI?! I must be missing something.
versus
Its all VERY easy poster…even if you cant seem to figure it out.
Its actually very unintuitive to edit with. I also figured it out easily, but I can see why the forums are saturated with people confused/angered by its functionality. So guess what, even if you or I disagree that its usable, it clearly failed the litmus test for functionality due to the overall feedback.
Just had to sneak in your insult at the end hey, as every pseudo-intellect does.
You should learn to read. Ill reiterate for you:
Addons like Dominos are CANCELLED/ENDED as of the new update, because the new UI includes their functionality, albeit if its not to the full extent (which is why people many people are mad).
Welcome to the reality that you’re not nearly as intelligent as you think you are~
going for irony? or just some hypocrisy for humor sake?
and that, dear poster, is on the ADDON makers end.
Blizzard IS NOT going to make this game centered around whether some guy in his basement is going to keep up on his addons. Nor should they even consider it.
The game UI needed updated.
They updated it.
Either addon makers are interested in keeping their addons up as well…or they arent. And that is THEIR issue. The game shouldnt be kept stagnant because your favorite addon will be affected.
You didn’t actually refute anything I said though, friendo. From what I’ve seen, more people are mad about the change itself than the UI’s actual functionality. You can argue that it’s unintuitive, but you also don’t give any examples of why. I’d be interested to hear your reasoning. And if your argument is actually “People here on the forums don’t like it, so it’s bad,” then WoW would have ended with vanilla, cuz there’s been complaining about dumb things from day one.
So your add-on is cancelled? That sucks. Sorry that happened. Truly. No sarcasm. That doesn’t mean the new UI sucks though. Unfortunately, it’s not Blizzard’s job to make sure your add ons stay active.
The reality is this add on is here. I’m accepting it because ultimately, it’s fine. If that makes me a pseudo-intellectual, fine. I won’t die mad about it. But judging by the majority of your comments, you might.
