You see, some might also have that trait, but be missing a nice barrier or extra healing from spending fury, or get the 36k damage shield every 20 seconds. But heyā¦ at least i can heal for 6,700 every 5 seconds when no mobs are around me in a 30 yard radius! This will be great for fighting the elevator boss! Im so glad blizzard makes useful and near unanimously completely useless traits in the same slots of gear thatās timegated with rng!

Thereās a weird phenomena of 465+ people that still get bodied because they think twilight dev and focusing iris will carry them to 2k. Itās extremely apparent to watch

The only time I ever wanted PvP gear in my career was also trying to get a weapon that refused to drop in PvE because of bad RNG where it was easier to get the rating than it was to wait for dicerolls.
Please name me any moment in time where you needed to get 2000+ rating to get a piece of pvp gear that somehow was better than PvE gear? I canāt think of a single one. What would you possibly want? The Pvp trinkets are trash in PVE. The gear was always loaded with resilience or pvp power wasting the item budget.
When were these mythical āmany timesā PvE players were forced to do high level PvP to progress? Are you trying to count garbage essences or the āwin two random battlegroundā legendary cloak rofl? Thatād be the PvP equivalent of being told to do a quick 5m heroic dungeon to grab a BiS piece and let me tell you the entire PvP community would be all over that.
Lets see how your 300 ilvl character does against my 465 ilvl character then.
Also your ātheoryā is just showing me that a 465+ skilled player is beating a 465+ unskilled player. One group climbs until they plateau against a gear wall they canāt climb over. The other group just stays or falls cause theyāre bad. The only real winners are those that have the best gear and best skill you canāt climb without both.
If I had things my way everyone in pvp instanced zones would be the same ilvl so skill can truly show you whoās better. MMR would actually finally be useful and could even be used to start having some solo queues like every other blizzard game with a grouped MMR system since now skill decides where you land instead of gear.
From everyone i heard, the mythic quality azerite gear day 1 was pretty good, and then they get a piece very week, but getting to the top first is the hard part, then they just coast and relax and cap.
Courseā¦ thatās only for the 0.5% of people above like 2200, for like the other 99.5% everything is useless past a week, kinda a flawed system imo.
Yeah those 465+ people are losing to other 465+ people though. Shocking absolutely nobody when given equal gear the better players win. You donāt get into 2000+ with ilvl 420 gear. Sorry.
Shame we donāt have some sort of automatic gear scaling system in place to put people at equal gear so every section of MMR is decided on pure skill instead of gear.

Thatās not why they took it away they took it away because Raiders were on PVP servers being 3 shotted by pvpers.
That is not an issue anymore because no one is forced into PVP you just simply turn off War mode there was no way to disable PVP on a PVP server in the past. So now would be a great time to bring the system back
Maybe and honestly it wouldnāt be so bad if it came back with a few modifications. Now that there is ilevel restrictions on dungeons they could make it so pvp gear ilevel is lower then pve ilevel gear. Naturally would need to make the algorithim for stat allocation on pvp gear to be different then that of pve gear in order to not nerf the stats with that change.
