Why must I PvE to do better in PvP? šŸ˜”

I was asking Blizzard the same question before 5.3 patch came out and I got banned for 72 hours .

lol, bring back pvp vendors with pvp gear that gives pvp advantage problem solved, we had it, now we dont lol

If I had a better rig I would have told them where my faith was long ago by not continuing my sub. Right now because I have a potato for a computer they get my money. As soon as I can afford a new computer Iā€™m jumping to FF14 or whatever the newest MMO is. I literally am only here because my preferred game was murdered by its owners.

Gearing up to be OP as much as possible sounds good to me.

That is precisely what I want. Wow is and always has been a PvE focused game. Every single expansion, every single major content patch, has had PvE as the premier feature. I honestly cannot remember a single update focused on PvP. I think classic might have had one for battlegrounds (???). Literally anything PvP, from world PvP to rated BGs etc, are all there for flavour and to push the Horde v Alliance thing.

PvP SHOULD be accessible with minimal effort. You should not need to choose whether you want to PvE or PvP. One path should open the door to everything so everyone can partake. And since PvE is the clear ā€œmainā€ path, yes I should be able to walk into PvP with my raid gear.

Only a narcicist would say something like this

Because it is. They want you ā€œtryā€ things, even if youā€™ve already tried it and determined you donā€™t like it.

Me? If a reward involves an activity I utterly despise, and thereā€™s no way to cheese it, I go without. Because Iā€™m super casual and just donā€™t care anymore about character ā€œperfectionā€. Back when that wasnā€™t the case, I did the things I didnā€™t like (but it didnā€™t change the way I felt about them).

pvp vendor #nochange

Every single update that included a raid also included a new PvP season with new gear appearances, tabards and gladiator mounts. Also vicious mounts in later expansions. And a new permanent title. And PvP balancing changes.

Just because PvPers didnā€™t require map content (and we still got new maps occasionally) doesnā€™t mean they werenā€™t also working on PvP at the same time.

Then advocate for the WoD system. PvP gear was still BiS over PvE gear, but there was nothing stopping you from going in in your PvE stuff because there were no PvP specific stats. It still worked fine, especially for the casual PvP you do. That way both sides are happy.

I refuse to do PvP for that Conflict and Strife essence. I hate PvP.

I donā€™t know how many times it needs to be said and repeated before people like you understand. WOW is a pve first game and has been since inception yes, but for every single expac has had a pvp progression system that allowed players to gear and have a level field for competition in a reasonable amount of time. BFA has removed this progression completely and made raid and M+ gear the best in all situations. There is no reason raid gear cannot be used or even competitive but you should not have BIS gear overshadowing top end arena players in their own content. This is a new problem brought about by BFA

Conflict and strife is a bis essence for many, blood of the enemy as well. pvp chest is also very important for gearing.

Pve has never work out for me . I tried dungeons and raids , but I get nothing in return . At least in pvp I get gear in return and I am not wasting my time .
If I work hard for what ever Iā€™m trying to achieve , than I should be rewarded . I donā€™t do things for nothing .

This isnā€™t Twitter.

If it helps I donā€™t think locking such important parts of non gear related character power should be happening. Forcing players to do one type of content for progression in an unrelated field in such polarizing areas of the game is a mistake and makes both sides bitter.

No one should ever force players to do things they donā€™t want to do . Pvp players have been eating that sht sandwich for along time .

Iā€™ve had to do PvP content to complete PvE content. Wasnā€™t a big fan of that, either.

A fault of BFA is it has tried to ā€œforceā€ you to do all content. If you like it or not doesnā€™t matter. They only care about time played, so if you have to do other content that you wouldnā€™t do it increases time played.

to be quite honest, it forced me to get into a side of the game i had never really delved into before, and i enjoyed it. i understand why people would get bitter over it though.

Conflict and Strife is one of my best, but I hate PvP so much I just sub in another strong essence. I do get the PvPersā€™ complaints for that reason.

However, if one side has to venture out of their comfort zone, so does the other. Eliminate it from both sides or neither.
