I see you as being reasonable because at least you listen to other people’s point of view sure it got heated early on but it has toned down. And has turned into a discussion that Probly should me moved to the off topic section at this point.
Yup, that about sums it up.
I try to be logical and calm in any debate. There is no need for hate or insults here. But it seems because this is the internet and people can be very sensitive the entire being the victim card is quite popular. Someone is still spiteful to me because i removed one of my posts and people are still flagging it in hopes of silencing me. I find it interesting though. How can such people who want LGBT to be so accepted and represented dish out so much hate? I wish the forum mods were more neutral in their approach so i could be fully open. Perhaps my mind can be changed then on things that people wish that were changed.
Do you promise?
Honestly Puré, these forums don’t do them much justice. In the open world, I have met countless folks of the LGBT community who are awesome and simply remarkable to be with.
Three of my closest friends are members of that. We nerd it out hard on smash brothers, Pokemon, and overall gaming in general.
Malfurion would be so much more interesting if he’s gay.
Yea, that’s a bit unfortunate I didn’t even get flagged for calling religion a mental illness yet you did for your beliefs and will probably eat a silence for it. Which is a bit of a double standard which is sad, but what can you do about it.
Its because here on the forums people hide behind a screen, behind a game where there is no consequences to their actions. They have nothing to hide behind in the real world.
I’m not even bothered by that. I’m bothered I tried to help someone who was hateful and spiteful towards LGBT understand it a bit better in hopes of them being more understanding. Instead i’m flagged to oblivion and the hateful and spiteful post is still there untouched. I have many people who are spiteful to me so this comes as no surprise. Though if i’m silenced i will be going to reddit or mmochampion forums for awhile probably.
Well, I’m the last person to say this but don’t let them get the best of you. There ARE awesome people of all religions, Creeds, and beliefs as well as sexual identities.
You just gotta find them in a society so fueled by hate.
In the end change starts with us we need to be the change that will benefit everyone. For example me I do leather restoration on the side I also clean condition and polish leather at at gay leather bar well I did til everything was shut down. And I post all that stuff on my Facebook even people I work with know and I field questions all the time about it questions like why
Yes I agree with that completely
Way I see it is this.
I don’t care if you get your representation. I have no problems with you.
What I do have a problem with, is writers, and game design people who pander, and don’t want to write stories base off tropes that we commonly find and are enjoyable.
Or how Blizzard acting like sexy armor is a bad thing, because certain women don’t like any sex appeal at all, and men acting “offended” for us. LGTBQ community just happens to be in the crossfire with these people because they want to pander to your cause, while taking away elements we enjoy in games.
My current proffesion is taking care of the elderly and mentally ill. A group home of sorts. At least until i can graduate with a degree for a better paying job.
People don’t care as much in public as well. Over the computer screen people tend to think that the opposing person’s political opinions is all that they are. When you see someone in irl I doubt your first encounter with someone will be political at all unless you are at an event or something.
There was only one time i let someone get to me and in my anger and wrath i said harmful things to them. I got rightfully silenced for it and have no one to blame but myself. But ever since then I have been quite the target for forum mods.
I wish it were so, I get asked countless times who I’m voting for and such.
But it’s not like that among gamers, it’s kind of like to us, if we’re a nerd, politics literally is the last thing we care about.
My family treats me as a black sheep for who i voted for in 2016 >_>.
I say represent everything. And may one day blizz will listen. I’m holding my breath
How, though?
How does being gay make you interesting in a world where there are no ramifications, positive or negative, of being a sexual minority?
